Yep. At Disney this last trip, it was hot so my DH couldn’t get his ring to come off. I was getting concerned because his fingers were swelling. When we would get back to the room for the night, he would use soapy water and take it off. Once he cooled off, it slid right off. The heat apparently makes it worse.

Again, this is something I’m not familiar with. My DWifeys ring is definitely bulkier ;) than mine, and even she sleeps with it and almost never takes hers off either.
Again, no right or wrong, just interesting.

That's just like Jack, our dog. Something tells me that Rocket and Jack would be great friends if they met! :p They both have that bull-in-a-China-shop genetic mutation! :jawdrop:

Then, it sounds like a Rocket, Jack, and Ranger meetup could end in a letigious situation none of us wants...we should definitely try to avoid that meetup...sounds like bulls in a China shop have nothing on them...!!! ;)

If you spray just a little bit of Windex or similar brand of window cleaner right on finger/ring. It should slide right off and the ring is cleaner, the bonus.

I'd like to now know the back story as to why the ring goes into a kitchen cabinet as soon as you come home.

I do not have any useful medical advice for you beyond salt, Easter tends to be a Salty holiday of traditional foods. Drinks some additional water and maybe that will help flush some out. Maybe.
My wife and I both wear our rings when we are out of the house and take them off when we are home together. I never thought much about what other people do.

And regarding the special kitchen cabinet....it is exactly that....my wife came up with the idea when we remodeled our kitchen 9 or 10 years ago. Built to sit alongside the cooktop vent....it is not deep but tall. Its function is a place to put car keys and rings. These items are never lost because there is only one place we ever put them😉

That is an interesting custom you two have created. Me, I never take any of my jewelry off.
I have a great deal of good jewelery most of which lives it life in a Safety Box at the bank. It takes some effort to change out so if I'm in the mood or I have a special event then I might change it out. Other than that it stays on.

It really is! I went 2 years ago when I was home for dad's funeral. I spent a couple of weeks with my brother and since he was organizing it (he's one of the queens) I helped out and then I got to go to the event. There are dirty jokes, musical performances, audience participation, and a LOT LOT LOT of booze. I didn't drink, but I bought drinks for the "girls" and I kept winning bottles of wine with the door prizes, which I don't drink, so my brother inherited a bunch. It was just fun to be there. There's a theme every year and people dress in the theme....the year I went it was something to do with decades, so there were a lot of people dressed in 80s style, or as flappers, etc. And they did a musical medley of theme songs from each decade. Scoobydoo, TMNT, the love boat, gilligan's island, green acres, etc. There was one for each decade. And a line dance for each decade...electric slide, macarena, hustle, etc. Good fun.
Wow. That was 2 years ago? Feels like yesterday.

Did this ever happen to you or someone you know?.......

When I arrive home from being out anywhere, I take off my wedding band, pull out my wallet and keys....all three items go in a "special" cabinet in the kitchen.
Yet the last three days my wedding band won't come off right away. I have to wait 15 minutes or longer after being inside and then I can get it off. I haven't gained weight. My weight is stable.
Thoughts on that anyone?
I am sure someone has chimed in, but my guess would be the temperature change. Whenever it is cold, my rings could practically fall off my fingers, and when it gets warm they are pretty stable on it.

Interesting, in the fact that you take your wedding band off when you get home from anywhere. No right or wrong, just never heard of that before.
Mine stays on almost completely 24/7, whether I’m at the office, working in the yard, working on a car, overnight, etc.
I will take it off if there’s an itch under it, and spinning it on my finger or rocking it back and forth on my finger doesn’t work, to scratch it.
And, that’s definitely a little more difficult during warmer months, but, it still comes off with just a bit of twisting and turning.
Not sure why that would be happening to you so suddenly.
I used to wear mine all the time and then I ended up getting a fungus where my band was. Lack of the skin being able to always fully dry out after showering, doing dishes, sweat, etc. Itched like heck. I had a pretty red ring on my finger then. I had to not wear it for a week and it healed. Since then, I only wear it out or when people come over.
