I categorize my clothes. I put all of my underwear in one, for instance. Then all of my sweaters, shawls, etc in another. All of my pants/skirts/shorts go in another, then all of my tops, and so on. I pack things that must be hung up in a different cube than things that will be in a drawer - and I leave those things in the cubes. So I only unpack what needs to be hung up. The cubes compress, so it means I need less space in the suitcase. I've never had an issue with TSA opening them. They are fairly transparent so they can see what is inside, palpate them, or x-ray them individually. Then just place them back in the suitcase, rather than rooting around your stuff that you've neatly packed, but with no cubes to keep it from being unfolded.

My husband prefers to use his old roll and stuff method.
I vote for him! 😉

Today is T’s 9th bday!

As you all know, our schedules are crazy right now. That kid still has 5-6 Christmas presents that he hasn’t even taken out of the box- legos, science kits, etc.

He couldn’t think of what to ask for on this bday, well, besides a new golf club set and FCC jersey.. So, I came up with an idea.. he LOVED it!! The least amount of presents he’s ever opened, but just as big of a smile. He jumped up and said “This is the best gift ever! I love you so much!! Thank you!!”❤❤

I’ll share, because although I don’t have decent crafting skills, I did put effort into this, thinking of the idea yesterday, and then hurriedly completing it last night.lol.

A binder that I mod podged wrapping paper, with 9 coupons, 9 of of my favorite quotes, and extra paper for photos of him utilizing the 9 coupons, and other adventures during age 9.

That is such a great gift and he obviously knows he has so much so he appreciated it. What a great kid. Most would be bummed that there wasn’t a toy. Here is a cake for him.

You'd be surprised. I have friends who already have seen grey hair, and I knew guys in college who were already losing their hair.

I fully expect to go grey in my forties or so based on my parents, but I intend to milk it until then.
My wife was 76 when she passed away, she had brown hair the same as when I met her and she never dyed it. She would pull out a few from time to time. Her hair was thick, thick, thick. My daughters, both in their forties have that same thick hair but there is some grey starting to show through. One plucks it out, the other doesn't.

My Father although thining was all grey and he had that from his mid 30's. I never saw any grey in my mothers hair, but she was very vane about her hair and always had it dyed. In fact, in spite of being quite ill, she insisted that she get her hair colored the day before she died. I've seen pictures of her when she was young and her hair was a dark brown, so I assume that was her natural hair color otherwise I would never know what it was.

Hair loss is pretty common in late teens/early 20s.
I can speak for myself. I started to lose hair by the time I turned 20 although it did take my younger brother longer to start to lose his. We still have some hair left.

As far as my hair color goes, I doubt I will get grey hair before my 50s or later. My dad's hair turned grey in his 50s.

My mom is older than my dad, but she does not have any grey hair. The catch is my mom does not dye her hair at all.

My mom not having grey hair is due to her genetics. I did not know her mom, but I saw her in my parents wedding pictures. Grandma was in her mid 50's, but she had no grey hair at all. She didn't dye her hair either. Grandma died the year after my parents got married, but still no grey hair despite not dying it.
I remember when my dad really started losing his hair. My brother, who is on the autism spectrum, was just becoming verbal and getting pretty tall. My dad was in his forties and sitting out on the patio when my brother walked around him and said, "Dad...head broken. Head broken." In the most sympathetic tone like, "You poor thing!" Then for weeks, he kept bringing up that "The spot on the head is all gone." 😂

Sorry to disappoint, no packing cubes for me. In the past I have used vacuum seal bags that saved space. But I don’t use them anymore, they usually make me overpack then I have to pay the heavy bag fee.

I’m at the airport right now and my bag was only 28 pounds. And only took me 10 minutes in security, because I was smart enough to walk to the other end of the airport. The one near the Delta check in was posted at 40 minutes.

Thanks to all for the well wishes on safe travel!

Were you at the MSP airport?

Well, a very Happy Birthday to T from me!

I think your gift was very creative, and I'm glad to hear that he really appreciated your efforts. Nicely done.
Thanks!

Oh I’ll have to show him that cake pic! We haven’t done a decorated cake yet, not til we go to GWL. I bought a mini round one to surprise T at breakfast this morning.

He did get a new baseball bag that he had been asking for, baseball pants and a fancy new bat.. those are like toys to him. ;) He’s excited to have 2 bats to put in the bag, plus he’s been telling me “I just know I can hit a home run if I get a wider bat”(he did hit a triple when he used a teammate’s) 😂😂 we’ll see...

Here’s T with whipped cream up his nose..

I was offended once...I think?...but, I don’t even remember what I might have been offended about...?! 🤔

;):)
I'm offended that almost nothing ever happens that offends me other then when someone makes an old man reference for the purpose of belittling me or implying that because of my age, my opinions are not valid or correct. When used as a put down, my grey hair follicles go into a frenzy. 😜👴
