If you have a Sim card...it says band 4. Does that mean any phone that supports a band 4 will work? The phone I was looking at supports 2 out of 5 LTE bands but my band is one of them.

I have to agree with all of that. Most people have to fly in a plane to get to a cruise. That is more likely where the inflection started. It is laughable to call a ship that is about the size of a city block, a petri dish. It is mostly open air with constant sea breezes. Planes are a lot of recirculated air, but, even then if it were pure recirculated air everyone on the plane would die of carbon monoxide poisoning.

I have taken a number of cruises, the last one about three years ago that was a 14 day trans-Atlantic cruise. I knew of no one that got sick and I know I didn't. I have never gotten sick after or during a cruise, flight or WDW. A ship in particular is cleaned constantly. At Disney it is more what you touch and transfer then anything else. I guess some of us have a stronger immune system then others. (not meant as a put down, just a fact.)

Not a fact, just a guess, is that the over use of antibiotic chemicals might be to blame for that. Personally I have never bought any antibiotic anything except hand soap, which I use in the bathroom and kitchen. On my month long trip to Europe three years ago my sister gave me a small travel bottle of hand sanitizer. It is still sitting, unused, in my travel bag. And on that trip we rode subways so packed that you almost had to be married to stand that close, yet nothing. At any rate, I refuse to live my life afraid of every possibility. I, especially now, am conscious of the fragility of life, but, I will continue to live as long as I can in non-scared mode and let my immune system do its job like it was designed to do.

Yep, laughable indeed.
And, at 35,000 ft. doin' 500+ mph ya' can't just pop open a window, much less pop out on the wing for some fresh air...! ;)

Except for my recent weekend fun with the crud (which my DWifey is still convinced was just allergies because of the short duration), I can't remember the last time I was appreciably sick. I got sick more often as a child, and even then it was pretty rare. I've never been sick on any trip that I can ever remember.
I don't use hand sanitizer, and have never purposely (unless it's what happens to be in a dispenser) used antibacterial soap, as I find plain ol' soap and water works just fine.
Bottom line, I'm no Pig-Pen, but, I'm no germaphobe either...! ;) :)

We plant a garden too, but the last 2 years we had awful crops. The tomatoes were meager. Peppers didn’t grow. Zucchini grew ok. Cucumbers didn’t grow, and last year for the first time our strawberry plants did nothing. We ripped them all out in the fall. We had pumpkins growing and they were beautiful, but all the rain destroyed them. We had way too much rain last year and so far this year does not look any better in terms of moisture.
Wasnt that because it was super cold and the cold lasted way longer than normal?

I remember someone from here mentioned there was snow.. in June??

Probably all true, but I wouldn’t trade any of mine. None of mine were actually sick this past winter come to think of it. Must be all the other kids causing illnesses. ;)
I agree, I do know that I haven't had much in the line of virus type things since my kids grew up and moved out. Heck it has been 4 years since my last cold. (pause while I find some wood to knock on.) I have other things, but, I cannot blame any of it on catching something from anyone else. Four years ago was from one of my grandchildren, I had no actual control of their existence. 😇

Thanks! It really is pretty in those parts with the treese and the water, etc. I want to go and stay in their hotel sometime and have a couple of days to do the park. By the end of the day, DS was over-stimulated and cranky, so it would be nice to break it up. (Good to know for our Disney trip, too...need some down time!) But they have their main hotel, and they also have a sort of campground. It looks like a really nice area.
The Efteling actually has 3 overnight choices, one is the hotel with regular or themed rooms.
The second is a very basic bungalow park with limited facilities and the third is a beautiful holiday park with different style of old Dutch houses, a pool, restaurant and shop. Efteling entrance is included in the price of your stay however all three options are expensive, to me it's worth it because I love being there but other people just shake their head and look elsewhere, as an overnight guest you do get early morning access to a limited number of rides.

So....I guess I'm going to be tutoring our neighbor girl in English..sort of? I went to the grocery store, and I was walking back and our neighbor down the street was at our door. (They are from Iran and there are always delicious smells coming from their house....I want to go eat dinner there!) Her daughter is the same age as DD....they went to the same school for a while and then the girl transferred to a Montesori school. But, she's at DD's school now, but doing one level lower, and apparently she's doing really well in everything....except English. She's barely passing, and if they don't pass, they have to redo the year. So the mother BEGGED me to please help her as she's heard me speaking English to my kids. I have never given English lessons before, though I did volunteer with ESL in college, teaching foreign kids to speak English, but they were LITTLE kids. We watched a lot of Barney. I don't think a 13 year old is going to want to watch Barney. So I'm a little out of my depth, but I want to help her, and when I mentioned DD is fluent in English, we decided that might be better. This poor girl looked sooooo uncomfortable, and when I mentioned that DD can speak fluently, she looked so much more relaxed and I asked her if she would prefer that, so it's more like talking to a friend than getting an English tutor and she looked relieved. So DD and the girl exchanged information and she will come over once a week to speak Eng
Maybe have the girl bring her English textbooks so you know what she is suppose to be learning.
Watching Barney might not be the best idea (for anyone) but some English YouTube videos could be helpful. It's how my 10 year old nephew learned English since his parents forbid him from watching anything in Dutch or Slovakian (mother language) he only watched English kids videos now his English is so good he isn't allowed to watch those anymore. He's moved on to Manderin and German.
