@Songbird76 , I really enjoyed your photos at Efteling. What a cool place, and I also love the "park" -- areas of green and flowers, trees, etc.

My favorite of all the photos were the ones showing the beautiful carousel. It's very European looking, with a classic fairy tales design.

Glad you and your family had fun there.
Thanks! It really is pretty in those parts with the treese and the water, etc. I want to go and stay in their hotel sometime and have a couple of days to do the park. By the end of the day, DS was over-stimulated and cranky, so it would be nice to break it up. (Good to know for our Disney trip, too...need some down time!) But they have their main hotel, and they also have a sort of campground. It looks like a really nice area.

Thanks, Minnie...!!! :)

And, about Emy’s church outfit...
They didn’t take any pictures of her at home, so we’re gonna’ take some after mass.
But, right before mass she had a major diaper blowout, so she had to don her diaper bag backup onesie...!!!!! :hilarious:
She’s done it before, but, they were still at home, so were able to put her in another cute outfit before they left the house...!!! :)
Yikes, is she teething? That's when my kids tended to have the diaper blowouts. Every time they got a new tooth.

Videos in a camera are usually in a different directory than the photos.
Check the root of the memory.

Nikon devices for example.. have a DCIM for photos and a VIDEO for.. duuh videos ;)
Oh thanks! I will have to check that. My last camera just put them all in one file, so I didn't know I should look for a different directory. I've only had this one for about 6 months or so, I think? And I've been playing with it to see if I can learn to shoot dark rides, fireworks, etc. But I need to practice with it more....I don't know how to use most of the settings.

woah, that Hydra steampunk dragon was awesome!
The whole show is pretty awesome. I was expecting typical theme park shows with cheap costuming and no special effects, but these are total professionals. This is the 3rd time we've seen it, and it never gets old....you notice something new every time, and it's just cool to watch. The dragon thing kind of reminds me of the festival of fantasy maleficent dragon thing, though I've never seen that in person.

Decided to try morning workouts instead of evening, as i keep making excuses and being to exhausted to actually work out in the evenings. I woke up at 4 am today, worked out, showered, got ready for work. Now I'm driving a cup of coffee while the dogs play, waiting for it to be late enough to wake up A.

This isn't so bad! Almost enjoyable, lol

I just added Qigong and Tai Chi to my workout routine. I usually just do yoga.

yikes, it seems your kids have had very bad luck in this park so far o_o
I mean, the front seats thing, then the live show seats thing.. and then the crown thing..
Well, here's the thing...my kids are in that awkward stage where they aren't really kids anymore, but they are also not grown up. They still want to do the "little kid" things, but they also understand that they are bigger and it's a huge thing for those littles. So they don't want to be rude and tell a little kid to wait, because little kids don't always have the patience. And DD is so used to...I guess kind of holding herself back. DS is very anxious and he may be 11, but he's actually more like a 7 year old. She's used to letting him go first, giving him what he wants, because she's very empathetic. We have to remind her that it's ok for her to have a turn, too, and that he needs to learn that he can't always have his way. But she feels bad if he's upset. So she's used to doing that....and then she sees some other kid, and she backs away to let them have a turn....she feels like she doesn't have as much right to it because she's not a little kid anymore. And with the front seat, a lot of people don't look at my kids and see kids, and you can't look at DS and tell he has autism. They see an almost teenage boy and most boys his age are too cool for school, and they don't want to be seen doing kiddy things. So they expect he won't want to do that. Although 2 years ago was a different story..he was definitely a KID then and those girls were just mean.

But, you could also say my kids were lucky...the woman noticed he was upset about the front seat and offered to switch. She didn't have to do that, and it was very kind of her. If she hadn't, we'd have just done the ride again until he got to sit in the front. We are pretty patient about that kind of thing. And I was willing to wait for DD to have a turn with the crown, but she decided it wasn't worth the wait. It's all how you look at it....sure, things happened, but they turned out all right and we roll with the punches.

DD is looking so grown up now. Very mature of her to let the other kids go, but it was wrong for the other parents to ignore her presence and not reprimand their kids. Reminds me of something my dh would say if we were sitting in a restaurant for a while without being served, “Am I a mirage?”
Well, the mom of the 2 boys saw her there and after they had both had a turn, she called to them and said "That other girl wants a turn, too." The problem is she didn't stick to her guns, so the boys hung around and then as soon as the dragon fell asleep, the younger one pulled the crown and then ran off. Had my kids not listened when I said it was time to move on, I would have physically gone and taken them by the hand and pulled them away. And if I had been too late and one of the kids had taken someone else's turn, they would have been in time out. But that's just me, and I'm a mean mom. 😄 My kids always got a warning, but if they didn't heed it, there were consequences.
