Efteling cont...

So after we got out of Ravelijn, we headed for the sprookjesbos. DH had looked online and there were 2 different Ingress Missions he could do in the park. He didn't want to do the bigger one because you had to start at the entrance for that because you have to go in order, and that clashed with his plans of rushing to the back to do the coasters before it got busy. He didn't want to have to criss cross back and forth through the park, so he decided he could do the smaller of the two missions, which was just in the sprookjesbos. More on that later.

We had to go to the sprookjesbos entrance closest to the main gate of the park. (there are multiple entrances to the fairytale forest)
First up, the big fish next to Pinnochio:

Fishy didn't want to open his mouth. We had to wait a few minutes.

Then we walked along the path....I didn't take pictures of everything. Some things are not picture worthy...some things are only cool if you see them move, which can't be captured with still pictures.

It was about here that DH was lagging behind and looked at the mission and realized it was sending him in a completely opposite direction. So he said farewell to us and went to complete his mission. He later said the google site was misrepresentative of what it was. It wasn't just in the Sprookjesbos, and at one point he had to cross the entire park for one of the mission spots. If he had known what it really was, he'd have never started, but once you start, if you don't finish, your page looks wonky because you get a "sticker" for each part of the mission you do, and when you get all the stickers, in order, they form a picture. Which is why you have to go in order, and you have to complete the mission to complete the picture.

This one, the dragon guarding the treasure chest is sleeping. When you pull the crown, he wakes up and breathes smoke. The kids line up to pull the crown, and DD wanted a turn, but was letting all the little kids go first since she is a "big kid"....she waited so patiently, and when it was finally her turn, she was waiting for the dragon to fall asleep again, and just as he did, 2 kids came running up, cut in front of her, and pulled the crown....she waited until he fell asleep again and both kids had had a turn. The parents were calling the 2 boys on, and they waited until the dragon fell asleep, and pulled it again before running off, stealing DD's turn. Then the dragon started to fall asleep, and a boy in a wheelchair rolled up. DD gave up and decided it just wasn't going to happen because she didn't feel like she had as much right as the younger kids and she didn't want to disappoint any of them whose parents were standing there saying "Go ahead! Pull the crown", impatient to move on.

DD is looking so grown up now. Very mature of her to let the other kids go, but it was wrong for the other parents to ignore her presence and not reprimand their kids. Reminds me of something my dh would say if we were sitting in a restaurant for a while without being served, “Am I a mirage?”

I love Kilimanjaro Safaris -- it's different every single time you go on it. If you get a chance on another day of your trip, I hope you can go on it again. The different animals are so interesting to watch. They have such a nice variety of animals out on the savannah. Big thrills! (I live near a big city -- I get to see pigeons here -- but, that's about it. LOL . . . ) :joyfull:
Got another FP for later in the week! I could go on it every day!😉

I make a sandwich spread with it. Kind of works like a mayo, but healthier. I found a copycat recipe based on Jimmy John's avocado spread. It is really good. http://www.lifesatomato.com/2018/05/09/copycat-jimmy-johns-avocado-sandwich-spread/

Because there’s one just down the road from the office, I ordered Jimmy John’s for lunch a few times when I first got back to the firm full-time.
One of the first things I noticed was that their sandwiches were packed with shredded lettuce. After about the third time, I decided to order my next sandwich without any lettuce, for comparison...right when I pulled it out of the bag, and even before unwrapping it, it was flat as a pancake compared to the lettuce-packed sandwiches. Nothing wrong with lettuce (I had a coworker years ago that always ordered extra lettuce on sandwiches, burgers, etc.), but, they just seemed to be packin’ it in as filler so they could skimp on other more costly ingredients.
It could be a Franchisee thing, as I’ve never eaten at another JJ’s, but, I never ordered from there again.

Maybe because you didn’t season it? ;) But seriously, I season it a lot. To me cauliflower on its own tastes like water. I season it like what I would do for a taco. I use chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. I am heavy on everything but the paprika. I add a little water and cook for 5 minutes. Tastes great in a soft taco.

As I said.. I'm a purist... butter and salt... they'll be no ricing again in this house!

Something similar happens (every time - not intermittent) on my work desktop, after I place the first emoji. I set the cursor at the end of a sentence (or wherever), leave a space, and right after I place the first emoji the window disappears and the cursor appears at the top of the page at the beginning of my post or a quoted post. So, then I hafta’ reset the cursor and repeat as many times as I want to place emojis in a certain spot.
With my iPhone, on the other hand, the emoji window stays up so I can place as many emojis as I want before closing the emoji window.
Frustrating, indeed, on the desktop, and kinda’ weird, as most operations are usually easier on the desktop.
But, then again, I could be missing something very simple... :cyclops:;)

Yah, I end up putting a space or two after the sentence that I want to place the emoji. Sometimes, even that doesn't work -- the emoji just wants to end up wherever it feels like going?! :banghead: (This time it worked, because it knew I was made at it.)

No, we literally just walked past and I snapped the one picture I got. I missed that one! I was so lost in there...I thought if I just followed the path, we'd see everything, but I missed a TON of stuff. I should not be allowed in any area that has the word "forest" in it without a guide!
I wish I could guide you trough the fairy tale Forrest one day. As an Efteling connoisseur (it's a thing) I can tell you there is only one correct entrance and route to take through the Forrest. I am glad you had a great day with your family and your dinner looked very delicious. I also like restaurants like were you can try different small bites.

Thanks!!! :)

We initially chalked it up to just seasonal springtime allergies, but, it’s definitely gettin’ passed around and just feels different.
No fever, and no substantial aches. Just a lot of congestion and coughing, sore ribs and headache from all the coughing, and a general run-down feeling.

Anyway, thanks again...!!! :)
I hope you are feeling better.

I had the cheesecake and the flat bread last year. Both were good but I really liked the cheesecake, I have the recipe for it but I haven't made it yet. Hubs doesn't like cheesecake, yet he ate his fair share of this one and whenever I talk about making it at home he says he doesn't like it. I think to myself...why did you eat it at Epcot then!?!!?🤦:)
I love cheesecake so I'll happily help you eat it.:hungry:

I don't have the issue you are having but it takes a really long time for the widow with emojies to open and close again on my tablet.
