The like is for the movie and play. Sending beer and ammo for the rest of your weekendWeekend plans: snow storm
So we are going to see Captain Marvel tonight and a local play Friday since the storm of up to 10 inches is going to start Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.
Apparently, they forgot to send me that memo. It would have only taken me minutes to be packed and ready to go. I suppose the fact that I wasn't an employee was responsible for my exclusion, but, heck I live really close by the restaurant and it seems like that should have counted for something. This is awesome
Closed for vacation: Restaurant owner closes shop to take all employees, families to Disney

Not an experience our family will have.Have they even STARTED building the Star Wars hotel? I'm pretty sure it won't be open when Galaxy's Edge opens this fall. But I thought they gave a price guide a while ago and there's a hefty price tag attached because it's an immersive experience where you are supposed to dress in character, and it's not a resort like the other resorts where you leave for the day to visit the parks. It's like....a 3 day experience with everything included, but you stay in the hotel the whole day. I want to say it was something like $2500 per person for a 3 day experience? I'll see if I can find the place where it talked about prices.
It is hard to watch parents age, especially when you realize that they are no longer the supermom or dad that they used to be. Sounds like she was a really strong person and a great roll model in her younger days.I'm really happy we insisted my mother moved to were she is now, it's a 1 bedroom apartment in a seniors complex with assistance for the residents if needed. Luckily my mum gave up driving years ago as it wouldn't be safe for her to do now, she also doesn't cook any more since moving as you can't work her induction stove, even with printed instructions on the board in the kitchen.
My sister deals with all her post and I do her banking online so my mother doesn't have the stress of bills etc.
My mother used to be very good at fixing things, when my sister bought her first home and couldn't afford a contractor my mother not only rewired the whole apartment but also installed her kitchen and bathroom. She can still do little jobs around her home but doesn't have the physical strength for anything heavy and she tires easily. I also notice the lack of filter, it can be funny sometimes but often it makes me cringe. I just miss my old mum and feel guilty I'm not there enough for her.
Last weekend was crazy, so this one is a little more relaxing. Pick up DS from school after rehearsal (it is about a 40 minute drive. He is getting over a cold. Hopefully, a night in his own bed, and good home cooking will help. Then back Sunday afternoon for a wind ensemble performance. I am trying to convince DD to come, as she needs to write a concert review for band.My cyber friend @Artemus asked a conversational question on the Game forum. I'm gonna try to get him to post with me over here in this Chit Chat Forum.
His question was re. upcoming plans for the weekend.
As for me, my plans include taking my daughter for her first crack at the College Board SAT test.
It's at her high school. Doors open to show your photo id at 7:45am.
How about you @Artemus?
How about everyone else on this forum. Any plans to share?
My younger 2 watched Sophia, but it wasn’t long after that that they stopped watching Disney Jr. I don’t know any of the new shows. I know the main characters, but never was forced to watch an episode. Yesterday they put on a Mickey shorts DVD. I think those are pretty good. One neat fact about Sophia, the writer/creator is a dad of 2 boys, no daughters, just thought it would be a good show that girls as well as boys may enjoy. I watched a special on it a few years ago, when T was still in the Disney Jr phase.
I think he’s the same writer for Elana as well.
My kids all watched the Playhouse Disney shows. I didn’t mind them either. Bear was great. They also loved The Wiggles.I watched some of the shows when it was Playhouse Disney. Bear in the Big Blue House, PB&J, Rollie Pollie Ollie...and then I can tell you the shows my brother watched...Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso (oh gosh, that one was annoying). I thought Little Einsteins was cute, but he never agreed.
But I have no one around who is the right age for it now, so I have no idea why I can still tell you the names of shows that are on it now. I certainly can't tell you anything that's on the main Disney Channel, besides Andi Mack because my cousins like that one.

Thank you for the nice wishes for my daughter. We already have the plan for her to take it twice. Probably the 2nd one we will have her go for will be in late Aug.Last weekend was crazy, so this one is a little more relaxing. Pick up DS from school after rehearsal (it is about a 40 minute drive. Good luck to your DD on the SAT. Remind her she can always take it again if she needs to, especially since this sounds like her first try. If she is interested in a school that superscores , it may be in her best interest to take it more than once.
Luckily I'm not a Star Wars fan so I don't mind giving this a miss. Not an experience our family will have.
First order of business on Saturday is sleeping in, then a nice latte from my fancy Nespresso machine (birthday present to myself) while I read the paper. My cyber friend @Artemus asked a conversational question on the Game forum. Yeah we SW fans are waiting until it dies down a bit! It’s going to be awesome! Dd and SIL may see it at DL since they will be there in June!
