Actually, it’s not much more broken than it already was, but, it’s still sittin’ there as of my drive home this afternoon... :cyclops:

at this point maybe they are waiting for the water levels to go down. Too dangerous and too muddy to pick it up from that angle..

I try to withhold judgement on this kind of stuff. I hope to buy a new car for T when he is 16.. it will depend on responsible behavior and grades, but it would give me a lot of piece of mind to know that he would have new safety features and not worry about mechanical problems
I do see your point about the new safety features, and there's nothing wrong with buying a kid a new car if they've earned it. But Tesla's start out at $60,000...I'm thinking a Civic, Corolla, or Cruze. Not a Tesla.

The cars my parents gave me were in good condition. We knew when all the maintenance had been done, accident history. When they hit 100,000 miles, they fell apart.

@StarWarsGirl Jasmine had time to post on IG but not here:cautious:
Oh, so here's the very long story about my day.

I went in to work at 8 am for a team meeting. Rushed, because I normally don't get there until 8:30 and I needed to be there early, but my body didn't get the memo. My team members said to me, "Did you see the water main break?" Well, there's three entrances to my building, plus a McDonald's/Burger King parking lot that you can sneak through and end up at the building. That's where I enter because I'm wise enough not to fight the traffic in the other entrances. So no, didn't see it, but I digress.

About 45 minutes into work, we all get an email. No water in the buildings, floors 3-7 have no restrooms and the restrooms on 1 & 2 were expected to go next. So we were all told to leave and work elsewhere. So I showed up back home. But I wasted some time commuting and had less time to work on what I actually needed to get done. So the Jasmine photo was snapped while I was eating lunch with Mom (which I had to go out and get because we had no food in the house for lunch, unless you wanted waffles) and posted it real quick.

Then we ended up watching Mamma Mia when I was done.

Normally I take 10-15 minute breaks periodically, but didn't happen today.

Sympathy like. Sounds like an annoying day.

Extremely. But there are some benefits to still living at home. Because of having to take thyroid medication, I usually get breakfast at work so the medication has lots of time to get into my system (you're supposed to take it on an empty stomach and not eat for at least 30 minutes, but 1-2 hours is preferable). Obviously the cafeteria was closed, so I was really hungry and shaky when I got home. But I called Mom from the car and she made eggs and sausage for me. It was still annoying to commute there and then be told to leave 45 minutes later. And it was raining. Just a wet, annoying day.

The building opened four hours later and they were like, "Oh, you can come back now!"

Awww. That was so nice of her. I also love the dinner plate. Are you going to any buffets when you go on your trip?
Not likely. I don't like to chance having any stomach reactions when traveling hundreds of miles.
Sun. Brick NJ to Luray Caverns 305 miles...then on to the hotel in Lynchburg VA( another 132 miles)
Monday tour Liberty University then travel from Liberty U to a stopover hotel in Opelika AL 543 miles
Tues. travel 219 miles to Pensacola Christian College...1 1/2 hr tour....then
travel 455 miles to Pop Century Resort
Wed. MK
Thurs. AK
Fri Epcot
Sat. Disney Springs lunch at Chef Art Smith's Homecoming then drive 524 miles to a Lumberton NC hotel
Sun. drive from that hotel back home (552 miles)
Whoa!
I'm gonna need a vacation to recover from my vacation!

Very nice what you and your brother did. My 2 oldest did not Trick or Treat. My youngest was a bat, and my 11 yr old was a peacock.
Oh wow...I imagine those would be hard to find costumes...did you make them? My mom always made mine. I was a snowman one year....and a lady bug....I remember my brother being a skeleton one year and it was just black trash bags with paper plate bones taped to them, but it was super cool. Those are the ones I remember...oh, I think I was a ghost one year.
