Either the water in that creek is receding, or that car is rising. Previous pictures made it look more like it was sinking lower, but this image looks a bit different.

The water is indeed receding. The creek bed is mostly natural limestone, so nothing much could sink into it. It’s also been almost bone dry during droughts in years past, but, I’ve never seen a car left in there this long, especially after the water quit running over the low water crossing, even though the water would still be pretty high...most unusual... :cyclops:

Halloween costume possibly? I am cold in sweats. :hilarious:
We weren't allowed to wear costumes to work. Got an email from HR about it Monday.

She put on the this really ugly sweat jacket over her dress. I'm like, okay, better, but still not work-appropriate.

Thinking she's around my age; someone should really sit her down and explain proper workplace attire. Like, CEO, upper level execs work in this building; that's not what you want to wear!

I was in a long sleeve shirt and jeans and was still cold. Even though it's supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow, I still might need long sleeves. I'm always cold.

Belgian waffles with maple syrup from Vermont
My sister sends all of us transplanted Vermonters a small bottle of Vermont Maple Syrup every Christmas. So I have used about 7 pints of Maple since I have been living in NC. The 63 years previous, when I lived in Vermont, I never had a single serving of Maple Syrup unless it was in a restaurant. It cost to damn much. And, ironically, it literally grows on trees.

Stuff like that never happened when I was in school. I hope the kid gets suspended or kicked out of school.
Oh, and community service.

Yep, I don't ever remember anything like that involving a student/teacher conflict all the way from K-12.
However, I do remember a coupla’ incidents in high school back here in Texas...
My senior year, 2 guys who had graduated the year before entered the school during classes, and happened to run into the Vice Principal and another teacher. They were asked for their hall passes, and when they weren’t able to produce them a short tussle ensued. They fled, but, were later caught and charged with trespassing and assault, IIRC.
The other, more memorable, incident was in PE class my sophomore year.
There were these 2 dudes in the class that just hated each other and wouldn’t stop constantly messing with each other and disrupting the class. Finally, the assistant football Coach that ran the class had had enough. HE. WAS. P****D!!!
He went and grabbed 2 pairs of boxing gloves from the locker room and ordered the entire class out to the back of school property behind the baseball field. He gave them the gloves and told them they weren’t goin’ anywhere ‘til they settled this once and for all.
Then, they proceeded to beat the snot out of each other while we all watched...!!!!! :hilarious: (Sorry, different times... :cautious:)
They went ‘til both of them could hardly stand when Coach finally called it.
Funny thing is, those 2 dudes ended up becoming best friends and remained so all the way through HS, that I saw...!!!!! :joyfull: :)

But, can you imagine a teacher doing that these days...?!?!?! WOOF!!! I think not...!!!!! :cyclops:
