Another reason I am getting my stone reset is because I do want to wear them all of the time. I understand it is different for everyone and I know people who don't even wear rings and they have been happily married for many years.:inlove: But I have always held some sentimentality towards engagement and wedding rings...and I like rings in general.:joyfull:

But the old set was so heavy on my hands that I really wasn't able to do that. I have skinny piano fingers from years of playing the piano for recitals, weddings, funerals, random churches, theater....you name it. Luckily the wedding band is so light that I forget it is on.
I wish I had your problem...I play piano, violin, and viola...and my fingers are no skinnier for it. Well, I also had hand surgery on my left hand, so there's that too...

I kind of don't expect to wear rings if I end up getting married. Partially because I can't wear any rings on my left hand besides on my pinky anyway, and I figure eventually I'm going to end up with the same surgery on my right hand. But I also see how much some people pay for rings, and I'm like . I'm the opposite of the girl who would complain that the guy spent too little on the ring; I'd be the girl complaining about spending too much on the ring.

I wear my band every day (small gold band, with diamond chips). If I travel, I leave it at home, but wear a cheaper (costume jewelry) ring, because if anything happened to my ring while on vacation (lost in pool, fell out of suitcase, etc.), it would be lost for good.

I've read that in regard to travel, never take anything with you that you can't replace. People are out of their element when travelling, and people lose or misplace things a lot.
I agree with the last part. I still take a stuffed Dumbo when I travel, but I stopped taking the one I've had since I was a baby. He's irreplaceable. I have the current one that they sell at WDW. That's the one I take. He also doubles as a pillow on the plane. And most importantly, if something did happen to him, I can replace him. I Iake my jewelery on vacation, but I started putting it in my carry on. Makes me feel better.

I travel enough that I don't get stressed and losing something on vacation would be highly unusual for me; I don't think I've ever lost anything on vacation except maybe an earring, but you can't be too careful.

I was forced to own up to some teenage rebellion from my senior year of high school.

My mom is going to my brother's soccer game. She asked me where the stadium was. I was forced to admit that I hadn't been there since PE, so I didn't know. I did not attend the mandatory pep rallies in Junior or Senior year. Junior year I went to the journalism lab, and senior year, I had a car, left, and went to the library until the normal dismissal time so no one would know.

She's like, "I could have given you a note ya know!" :hilarious: But now we know. I skipped participation in forced school spirit...to go do homework. Rebellion at it's finest.
That's up there with cutting school to go to the NYC public library to do research for a paper:angelic:

I had an interview yesterday in Boston (I actually drove because it was just over the city limits...first time within Boston) but anyway my boss was like you need to work a set schedule (which I do when I don't have interviews) and in my head....i'm thinking if I make up the time during the week....why does it matter.

It matters because he is holding the money to pay you each week. ;)

Depending upon the job, more bosses now are a bit more flexible with schedules, but there are some jobs that really require specific hours. (Not saying your job is exactly that, but it doesn't matter in the end. Bosses can call the shots.) Most of us tend to not like that! :cautious:

That's fantastic! Pep rallies should not be mandatory.
