Car is in the shop for repair, so we couldn't go out to dinner tonight (like we always do on Friday nights). Oh well. I had a peanut butter sandwich at home. (This is one reason why we go out every Friday night--no food left in the kitchen).

(Grocery shopping is Saturday mornings, and then we wolf down everything by Thursday.) Fridays are slim pickins at home! :p (Oh, we've taken a taxi before to the restaurant, if the car wasn't running, but with the tip and all, round trip is $20. We might as well throw that into the grocery money tomorrow.)

Forgive me if this was posted earlier, but just in case it wasn't......I just skimmed a story on Yahoo about a couple from Tennessee who went to all 4 Disney World parks in Florida this Wed......then, if that wasn't already amazing, they additionally got on a plane....flew to California and went to Disneyland and California Adventure.
So they were on both coasts and visited 6 Disney theme parks all in the same day!

Found a 30 second Youtube video. It was the couple's 10th wedding anniversary.

Oh my. Sympathy like for the car and about the break in y’alls usual routine.

That can throw you off a bit -- not so much the starting time in the morning, but the unpredictability of when his days off will be. That aside, it's so much better than (wherever) they were going to relocate him, until that got scrubbed (thank goodness for all). It can be hard to roll with all the changes -- sympathies.

Wait...
What did I miss...?!
Were Figgy and fam in danger of bein’ sent to Florida...?!?!?!

;) :)

I'm pretty good with a sling shot;) It's rather peculiar all my local wildlife seems to like me, even the bunnies don't panic when I'm around but the groundhogs move their chubby behinds away from me rather quickly

Blink, and they’re 2 feet taller. 😢
Tell me about it. Just got back from Hershey Park. Actually bumped into a family we know. Haven’t seen them in a few months because of schedule issues. In June, their 13 year old son was shorter than me and he still had a little boy voice. It is what, 4 months later and now he is taller than me and his voice had changed!!! If I wouldn’t have seen his mom and sisters there, I wouldn’t have recognized him.

ha! My parents still have a flip phone and don't text... my mom keeps saying she's going to get a smart phone soon... ha! If that doesn't happen by next september when it's time to upgrade mine.. I'm going to give her my old iPhone when I get a new one. My dad.. never... he's old school and phones are for talking, not for anything else.

Hahaaa...!!!
My pop worked for IBM for over 27 years, and has been retired for over 23 years now. My parents just got smartphones about a year ago...!!!!! :hilarious: We only ever had one landline while I was growing up... :cyclops: ;)
I don’t even consider my iPhone as a phone, so much, as a pocket computer with a phone as one of the “features”...!!!!! :hilarious: ;) :)

Had a great time at the picnic!

The rain held off until 8:30. It’s a small amusement park.. train ride.. two wooden rollercoasters..and fair type rides. The parish rents it out every July.. we were rained out (storms) last time, and this was the only availability the park had to reschedule.
Free admission.. free ice cream.. free drinks.. kids can run around because you know everyone there.

Even in the cold it was so much fun! I’m happy that I sucked it up and went. Our pastor rode the Tilt a Whirl with T and one of his friends.. then a group of us all went on the Rainbow.. then T and his friends did it 3 more times before moving to the next ride.lol
