Yeah...I was the kid who told everyone Santa wasn't real. My parents didn't do Santa, so of course, when kids would come to me and be like "Look what I got from Santa!" I was like, "Yeah, that's your parents." I don't think I went out of my way to tell kids Santa wasn't real, but I've always had a low tolerance for what I perceived as stupidity, so....not much has changed. :hilarious:

Note: I was about kindergarten when I did this, and my mom told me I had to stop. I don't think anyone believed me and they figured it out themselves much later on.

That’s my second biggest fear about my son. The first is the lost magic, but I would also be so afraid that he would ruin it for another kid or my niece and nephew.

We had a lunch date with our church pastor a few months ago, because T questions the existence and role of God so often. I didn’t feel equipped to answer all of his questions, so sought help. The pastor told him that “faith is something that we can not see, but what we believe”. It helped, but he still makes so many comments and questions.

The kid thinks Too Much.

My dh said when he was 5 or 6, his older brother told him there was no Santa, and boy did he get in massive trouble. My dh was devastated and he has made sure never to get caught by the kids. He didn't want what happened to him to be repeated. There is the Santa Norad tracker, so that can help nowadays for kids who are on the fence about Santa.

There’s also a site where you can email Santa.. I haven’t used it before, but will this year.

I had to keep reminding James(the summer before kindergarten) every morning before we went into a park not to say anything about characters and costumes and what do you mean Santa isn't real. I'm expecting some very nice things from him this year

I literally cry when thinking about it. I just want at least one more ‘magic’ Christmas. I’ve complained about the Elf on the Shelf antics plenty of times.. performing surgery on the stupid Elf was annoying, but worth the resulting poses... I’ll take those annoyances if I get to see my kid wake up and excitedly search for the Elf. It’s going to be a weird Christmas season when it all stops.

Spoiler alert: He'll excitedly run downstairs to check out his presents and stocking until he moves out :inlove::inlove:

I hope you plan on (or have done so) posting pictures!!

I definitely remember feeling a little different once I knew Santa was really my parents.

We do a Polar Express train excursion every year.. I don’t think that will be the same, or writing his list.. and especially his elf Luke.

I’m just being sad because I don’t want that to end. I do realize it will, it just feels like it’s happening so fast! This year more than ever.

That's a snack? You poor thing.
Thank you at least the boys will eat anything I cook. I've gotten calls from my older ds's schools at different points worried about him being a picky eater as a good deal of autistic kids are. each time I had to explain he's not so much picky as far as what he eats he's just a bit picky about the quality. As part of his program the kids were encouraged to eat the school food to try new things. School lunch:hungover::hungover::hungover:
