TOEFL is very US specific, the world uses IELTS as far I know.
Even going to Australia or England they ask IELTS, not TOEFL.
Makes sense. US has very specic standards as a singular language country unlike Canada or many European Countries. Given you are not focused on moving to the USA that makes sense for you to go for testing that omits US norm.

I just read a post else where. Do people have no boundaries? Making Jokes about other people’s serious life crises? Seriously? Sometimes it is OK not to be a comedian always.

I would like to get a crab apple tree because they are so pretty in the spring. I don't want to crab apples though. However, the Arboretum that we are members of, has been testing new varieties of crab apples that have many bloom but the crab apples are very tiny and most stay on the tree (for birds to eat) so there isn't a big clean up to do on the ground. So perhaps if that becomes available I will get one of those.
I want a house with a couple of orange trees;)

Sorry Minnie, somehow I missed this alert/post... :cyclops:
This is VERY COOL!!!!! :)
Both of our DDs have always known my love of flying, and they love to fly, but, they never loved it enough to become pilots, or pursue an aeronautics/aerospace career.
I very much wanted to be a commercial pilot many, many years ago. But, as my life progressed, and I realized how much I really wanted to also marry and help raise a family, the out town so much of the time aspect lead to me changing my focus to my other love of architecture.
My loving DDs were also my main advocates in arranging my chopper flight, and both of my gyroplane flights...!!!!!!!:inlove:
There has already been so many women that have been instrumental in aviation, space travel, etc.
Also, IIRC, didn’t a 12-yr.-old American young lady, not all that long ago, set a record as the youngest person to circumnavigate the globe in a plane...?!
Anyway, great story, go get’em ladies, and thanks for sharing...!!!!! :)

There is an aviation high school here in town. Lots of young gals go there... It's pretty awesome. Me? I knew since I was 10 that I wanted to work for the airlines as a ticket/gate again. And I did from the age of 18 for thirteen years... but got laid off after 9/11 and I just can't live on the pathetic pay and own a house. But I miss it every day!
Hopefully you are still doing something you enjoy.

Thank you I always like new options but I hope they left the quinoa cakes on the menu those are excellent
Yes they were! I probably wouldn’t try the skillet because first off, too much food, and second I have no idea of the ingredients of fake meat. If they are Field Roast sausage I would eat those since I know what are in them.

That's exciting about the aviation high school. We had nothing like that around us when I was growing up.

I love how the area you grew up in, sparked your interest in an aviation-related career, as a ticket/gate agent. There are so many people that work well together in different capacities, to keep those planes up in the air. I'm glad you enjoyed your job for many years. Too bad the pay scale wasn't higher, though; we all have to make a decent living.

I've notice quite a few places at Disney going Beyond Meat so fingers crossed
The chefs always have the ingredients for you at the ready if you ask. We like WCC but the cornbread is way tooo sweet and the beans are meh,
