That looks pretty good! We are going to Teppan Edo next Summer and I'm a bit nervous as my only hibachi experience up to now included a very uncoordinated chef, OR a chef who was incredibly good at targeting me....soup in my lap, egg in my drink, zucchini between the eyes. The food was really good, and I like the IDEA of a hibachi grill....I'm just not sure if I want to go through that again. But I've never heard of anyone else having such an experience, and Disney wouldn't hire incompetent chefs, right? How did this restaurant work out? Anything bad happen? Was the food good? Would you go again?

Never had an experience like that at any hibachi/teppanyaki place we’ve ever been to. The show is always fun, and there’s always a bit of flying/airborne food during it all (I caught my flying shrimp in my mouth first try last night...!!!:hilarious::hungry::)), but, that sure was one “interesting” experience you had...!!! :hilarious:;):)

As far as Teppan Edo goes, we’ve eaten there 3 times...’08, ‘12, & ‘13, and it was great every time...!!!!! :hungry:

Here are a few pics from our June of ‘13 visit...!!! :)

It was ALL sooooooo very good, but my scallops were pure PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!! :hungry::inlove:

As you can see, our chef was a hoot too, and we definitely have every intention of going back...great experience all the way around...!!!!!!!:)

That looks delicious! And the chef looks like a lot of fun too:hilarious:.
When we ate there in June, my sister stopped on the way out, to take a photo of the dining room where we had eaten. One of the chefs noticed she was taking a photo, and made a funny pose...:hilarious:. I should ask my sis to share the photo so I can post it on here.

Thank you for all the well wishes and hand stories they really cheered me up. I think the worst part is not being able to do what I want when I want.. At least when I broke my ankle I had things to do that didn't require excessive amounts of time on my feet. I think if the weather was better I would have spent time outside yesterday. Oh well it's feeling even better today

Do you do any of your own bottling up of food? Is this something you could make in advance and bottle up, or are the veggies requested not suitable for those types of methods?
I can "can" regular pickles but the fermented ones aren't shelf stable for as long. I wouldn't be comfortable giving them as a gift unless they were "fresh" if I had another extra fridge it wouldn't be a problem. and now we're back to a work kitchen would be nice
