in 2018 they added alcohol (1 drink per meal) to the dining plan. Also, my husband always orders the most expensive thing on the menu... ALWAYS.
In you case it would work out. I'm vegan, we prefer appetizers to deserts and we don't always eat together so it would never work for us. anyhoo I remember you saying you still may have to go out of pocket a couple of times if you do a few 2 credit meals so maybe you should still look into discounted gift cards for those and for paying off your trip. Happy planning

Well aren't you lucky?! Glad your photo turned out better this time for you license. Mine is hideous--I swear they take the most unflattering, fluorescent, bright light and glare it on your face -- and then they snap the picture. NO ONE could look good from any photo from our Registry. :banghead:
If you look like the picture on your license your not well enough to drive, sick day;)

Yupper -- I leave anywhere from 6:50 - 7:05 AM. Time to leave just depends on whether I get an express highway bus, or a local bus to a train connection.

As for lunch, I don't think about it until it's time for lunch. Then I go to the cafeteria at work, and they cook things there, and they put it on a plate for me. :joyfull: Works out fine. It would be better if I didn't have to pay them, though.
My dh is at work by then.

That's what I did today. I was in a chatty mood so when I got to the person that was doing the paperwork, we started just shooting the bull about the weather, the mutual fact that both of us were bald. He told me how much he admired Michael Jordon because he could shave his head and be in style. I told him how that didn't work for me because if I were to shave my head all anyone would have to do is draw a few lines down around my head and I'd look like a basketball. We had a lot of laughs and I made sure that I thanked both he, and the lady at the front desk that was instrumental in getting me taken care of quickly. Sometimes it just pays to be polite, calm and supportive of what they have to deal with day after day. The guy doing the paper work regaled me with stories of times when he was giving road tests and the stupids that he had to deal with. Someone actually went through a red light and then got mad because he didn't pass the test. He thought that it was only one red light and that wasn't a big deal. So actually, what everyone else considers to be terrible, I found to be fun. Course one does have to consider that I don't get out much.
I find that it helps to be kind to almost everyone, even those in government jobs. A smile goes a long way.

I’ve posted this here before, but, the only 2 times I felt the DDP was worth it to our family of 6 (including SonIL ;)) was when I got it with my 50% Disney Store CM discount in the summers of ‘12 and ‘13. It was right at $60 then, and we got it for $30...it was the snacks, QS, TS plan (that plan is now $75.49 per day...!!!!! :cyclops:).
I would order $30+ entrees most every night at our TS, so that right there was my $30 for the day, making the snack and QS gravy...! :)
No way would it have been worth $60 a day for us, convenience or not. Plus, it was just waaayyyyy too darn much food. And, I normally don’t even eat dessert, but, had it at every TS on both trips...I ate more desserts during those 2 week-long trips than I did in the entire year before each...!!!!! :hilarious:
Although, that record has since been broken on our December and July cruises...!!!!! :D;)
We ,originally, thought about not doing it again on our ‘13 trip, but, for only $30 we decided WTH!!!
Other than those 2 trips with my CM discount, we have always just eaten QS on the fly, and only made a coupla TS ADRs for a week-long trip to celebrate something. I don’t normally even eat breakfast when we’re there, other than a juice or V-8. We can easily split QS meals with no complaints of going hungry, and would definitely save a bunch of $$$ over $60, much less the $75+ that that plan is now...!!!!!
But, as you posted, whatever works...different strokes for different folks...!!! ;):)
We do what you do now. Pretty much eat on the fly. I may book one table service and then after we eat and look at the bill, and see how little the kids ate, we're like, why did we eat here? In the heat also down there, we eat less. Sometimes a kid will just want a pretzel for a meal, so going to a full service is a waste. Even if it was just dh and I, I think we would do the same thing. Plus, it gives us more options like eating outside the bubble. ;)
