Actually I watched a lot of tv as a kid. My mom called me Steve-e T-V. I bet I saw it but since it didn't have a catchy jingle it just "seems" new to me.Very nice. I never saw that before so I'm glad you SHARED that.![]()
I always had an interest in the Amish and how they lived. There are some near where we live. They installed our Amish made swingset. We see loads of Mennonites everywhere around town though. At first when we moved here it was weird, but now it is just normal. They shop like the rest of us.
Nope. Sorry. For some unexplainable reason, a tv commercial jingle popped in my head this morning.
I don't think it was about selling a product but I feel like it was presenting a charity or something.
Maybe one of you can help me recall the specifics.
I recall the jingle went:
"O, that's the way it is! Truly, oolee, oo-lee-oo"
That' s the way it is! Truly, oolee, oo-lee-oo"
Spoken: "When someone shares with me, I feel glad!"

This is a weird flashback. Maybe very late 60s or early 70s?
Does this ring any bells with any of you?

The attention to detail is not lost on me -- that first photo with the greenery & floral accents in the white napkin really caught my eye. (Well . . . delicious food first, of course, then the accents . . .)
More Amish Country and a not-Amish farm visit in the middle of it. We bought more produce and watermelon here, also a beautiful antique store in a barn, but I didn’t take photos of that.

When you were born, I was 47 years old, had been married for 23 years and had two kids. One was 21 and the baby was 19. Plus I had already been going to WDW for 12 years. The really scary part of all that is that it seems like it was yesterday.Nope.
But I was born in 95, so...
ohh nice!
Agree, she could use David's vacation rental.Oh good grief.
I don't know too much about Uni, but do you actually need a rental car there? Because you could get a Lyft XL to take you from WDW to Uni, or between your hotels for cheaper than renting a car. Then you can get a Super Shuttle back to the airport. Might be worth looking into.
I personally only use my Memory Maker (I get it as part of my AP) for sharing a few photos on Instagram from rides, and then I take my own photos, but...if this is something you can only do once every few years, isn't it worth getting all the photos possible during your trip, especially if you're not really a photographer yourself?
Have you looked into renting points for Poly? You might still be far enough out to get some availability, and points at a studio tend to be cheaper than getting a hotel room.
My dad had been going to WDW for longer if that helps...he was 35 when I was born. When you were born, I was 47 years old, had been married for 23 years and had two kids.
