Yes, the waitstaff works very hard indeed!!!
All the guests kinda’ order around the same time since it is a scheduled dinner time...drinks, apps, mains, desserts...it is an incredible “dance” ;) to watch, and they are truly amazing...!!!!! :)

And yes, the cabin attendants are awesome too!!! No complaints from us on either cruise, and they were so personable too...!!! :)

No, don’t think you’re nuts...as far as you know anyway... :cautious: :cyclops: :cautious: :D ;) :)
Cool idea, I just don’t know how much downtime they actually have (I’d hafta’ research it). Once we hit port in Galveston on the last morning of both cruises they were already busy loading things for the next one to depart later that afternoon...!!!

Yes!!!!! Sunrise...!!!!!!! :inlove:
I woke up early every single morning on both cruises. The bed was comfortable, and I slept like a stone, and I wanted to miss as little as possible...!!!!! And, I have never experienced the particular kind of peace and serenity that I have early in the morning from our veranda/balcony when everyone else is still sleeping, when the sun hasn’t even risen yet, and I’m looking out over the vast ocean in the middle of the sea...!!!!!!!
Or, is that the vast sea in the middle of the ocean...?! :cyclops: :hilarious: ;) :)
Either way...IT. IS. HEAVEN...!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite parts of the the cruises we have take. Have been sitting on the balcony at night watching the stars or watching the sun rise too. The first time we had a veranda I for some reason would wake up around four am so I went out there and relaxed. It was very peaceful. I did Manage to fall asleep out there a couple times.

Sometimes I think about getting an inside cabin to save some money but I really love sitting out on my own balcony. And having an aft one on the back of the ship just can’t be beat!

Oh that looks scary!

We went to Kings Island for an hour before we had to head to soccer practice..

Leaving the park (just in time!)

Ran home, I had T grab his soccer bag and change in the car.. already hearing about accidents.. took us 30 minutes to get to the stupid highway!!

We’re stopped at a light here.. about a half mile back. 🤦‍♀️

Finally get thru the light, then crawl at about 10mph before the next one..

I was freaking out, thought I gave us plenty of time and planned for rain and accidents.. took almost an additional hour AFTER we reached the highway.

He’s usually 20 minutes early to practice. Arrived 5 minutes after it had already started today. :(

Good news though- get home and found out that I caught my first squirrel!!!! (have only caught chipmunks til this point)

I felt really bad for the squirrel, he’s so scared. I hate trapping it, but then I look at the holes all over my yard.
Has to be done.

Not even really sure what most of your post means, but, OK...?! :cyclops:

As to the first part, though, I know there is A LOT more info these days on what can be repaired by “lifestyle” changes and what is too far along to change, other than by maybe surgery. A lot of folks get past the point of no return before they realize it and it’s too late.
As is also true, others are genitically predisposed...
One person can drink and smoke their entire life and live into trip digits, others that do same are planted relatively shortly thereafter...it’s all a crapshoot.
And, let’s face it, there are plenty of folks out there that live a “healthy” lifestyle and do “genuinely” increase their life expectancy and live longer...it’s simply fact.
Well, for one thing you have got to stop taking every word I type as it is written. It is my way of saying that it may or it may not matter what your lifestyle is that, in my opinion, genetics has a lot more to do with it then any other factor. I'm not a religious person but if I was I would have just felt that the moment we were born, maybe even conceived some being somewhere knew the moment that we were going to die. There is no set procedure that insures a long life or an early death. It just happens. I'm not even sure that we live longer then our ancestors did.

So what may seem like a "simple fact" may not be all that simple. There is a lot more that enters into it then having a salad each day.

I did a family tree back a couple of years ago that went back almost 300 years ago when my ancestors came over from London to Massachusetts. With the exception of those first years when life was particularly hard and central heating, antibiotics and organ transplants didn't exist and the average life span was about 55 (that was taking into account a very high mortality rate of newborns) So that meant that they probably died very old or just born. That alters the average life expectancy by a lot. I found that just going back 4 generations in my family my Great Great Grandparents, on more then one side, lived to be 100+ years old. My great grandparents made it to their late early 90's, my grandparents mid 80's, My parents Mom, was 87, dad and all but one of his siblings were in their 60 to mid 70's. Yet, we have the modern medicine that keeps us alive longer, don't we? It all part of those unexplainable things. Just today a saw a very elderly woman, I would guess in her late 80's or maybe even 90's, yes, she was that old, I'm sure, puffing away on a cigarette. I had to stop smoking because I couldn't stop coughing, she seemed fine. She didn't appear fragile in her walk, etc. It is impossible to explain why that woman was still going strong and others in their 50's and 60's that never smoked in their lives died of lung cancer.

Until someone can absolutely prove me wrong I will go with genetics. It is the easiest to understand and the most easily traced through generations. All any of us can do about it, is live each day like it might be the last, because none of us are promised a tomorrow.

@Cesar R M I’m taking your advice tonight 🤣

Quiero ver bailar tu pelo
Quiero ser tu ritmo
Que le enseñes a mi boca
Tus lugares favoritos.....

That song has some "alburs" that could be double worded.

In some cases it means love and kissing. But in the other.. well, some songs might have the sexual duality.

But the text seems to have some wrong writing or translations..

Quiero ver bailar tu pelo --> I want to dance your hair?
Quiero ser tu ritmo -> I want to be your rythm
Que le enseñes a mi boca --> You to teach my mouth..
Tus lugares favoritos..... ---> Your favorite places...

Soothing ocean view shots. How did you enjoy the show?

Indeed!!!!!

All of the shows we attended were great, and the performers were amazing!!! :)
We actually showed up early for the last bingo session on the afternoon of our last full sea day before Galveston, and there was an open Q&A session going on with the entertainment cast. It was very cool, but, also bittersweet, as our cruise director was moving on to a different ship, after 2 years of being on the Freedom.
She was awesome, too, and will do well wherever she goes...sooooo much great energy...!!!!!!! :joyfull: :)

Yep, we had 2 aft staterooms on our Dec. cruise. I could take pics of the sunrises and sunsets...!!!!! :)
This cruise we had port and starboard balconies, which were plenty fine...!!!!!
It is the most peaceful thing in the world...the moon, the stars, out in the middle of the ocean...I could live on a cruise ship...!!!!!

I've noticed that as well...with the innuendo...guessing this is a closer translation.

I want to see your hair dance
I want to be your rhythm
That you'll teach my mouth
Your favorite places...

She wants to prepare for a career in counseling. She would be a "Psychology Major". This school has an intense program where you can graduate with your Masters in 5 years. In your junior year of undergraduate studies (if you qualify/if you are accepted)you then continue finishing the requirements for your B.S. degree yet you simultaneously start taking courses for your masters degree. That way after putting in 4 years, you only have one more to go.
Clear as mud or I explained it adequately?o_O....attention@Gabe1
Hope this helps @Gabe1

oh wow!
The furious thing is how these companies insist "their products are safe and disagree with third party findings".

lobbyism and PR at its finest.

I kinda need to see how this 'special' reports plays out. There seems to be some conflicting information.

There are credible Advocacy Groups and others not so much. Remembering Advocacy Groups are dependent on funding too. Like the scare with baby food a while back, the group didn't release all the data, just it had lead and arsenic. We all know there are natural levels of of both in food and water everywhere caused by nature and thats ultimately how that one played out.

I'm going to have to wait and see how this all shakes out before I remove Cheerios from my life. This one could go either way.

Agree, but more often than not.. Companies have the tendency of downplaying and the advocate groups to exaggerate.

Example of company PR " The Lead in minuscule quantities, like in our products, do not pose a danger to humans"
They claim that ONLY the traces they have int he product isnt dangerous.. But humans could get other traces elsewhere and these "traces" become more than just remnants or "microscopic" units. As lead tends to accumulate on fatty tissues. Lead poisoning can take years to develop.

Then we have "Advocacy" groups, like the morons anti baxers who rely in lies to deny vaccines. (And not on real things, like vaccine allergies). claiming that Vaccines are the end of the world or cause problems that have not been proven in any way (like the "mercury" or amalgams used in vaccines being pure and dangerous and that they develop illnesses. When in reality they are unharmful composites. (aka an idiot trying to claim they are experts in chemistry and playing the "ohhh fire is bad!")
