You can actually get right up to the shoreline from the river.
Unlike in the U.S., this is 100% his home. There is no Oval Office equivalent, no tours that I know of. And a whole lot less security.
Our previous PM Jean Chretien's wife confronted an armed (knife) intruder at their bedroom door one night, while the PM slept. Smart lady - slammed the door, locked it, and then woke up Hubby.
Security certainly increased following that incident. A bit.
There is a Trappist Monastery in Gethsemani KY that makes a great cheese to go with your beer. The Trappist Monks do this one VERY well...!

The reason I joined WDWmagic was to keep up with what was going on in the parks, look forward to getting back when they've done a few things.Yesterday we broke through the freezing mark into the low 40s and I was a happy camper. We are over joyed with rumors of 50's this upcoming week but it was in the 30's today with some light snow.
You are not alone with the state of the state of the parks. The MK is coming along, still major work to do but the hub over the last year was a nasty welcome to the park. Now gone but nets on attractions like Splash Mt and under the tree of life are enough to make us all annoyed.
Given you like camping and state parks it will be a great 6 weeks for you. Is the trip soon?
I'm glad I can sew too. My great-grandmother taught me to hand sew and machine sew on a treadle machine. I still sew...make all our draperies because most store bought drapes are too generic looking.Go Tammy! I'm so glad I can sew. My drapes are amazing!

Leaving end of May for trip, have been checking routes and making some ressies at a few overnight stopping points.

My boss said the Tampa prices are very cheap (for homes) but Orlando is insane now.
Well I could live with living in the Tampa area if homes etc are that much cheaper that Orlando area.![]()

The only sombrero I have came off the top of a bottle of tequilawell, most worker (big hat) sombreros arent that heavy, and give nice shade.
but almost noone uses them anymore.
maybe poor farmers.
That's one thing I miss from living up north...seeing the daffodils come upI would just like to say that my front lawn here in Wisconsin is totally clear of snow! I can't wait to see my daffodils!
And hopefully, not too crowded. Will camp (if you call motor home camping) the entire trip. Used to tent camp, but getting too old for thatYou should have a great time. The weather in May and June is generally a nice part of early summer, comfortable temps make for good vacationing. Will you camp at all while you are out there?
