Funnily you ask, there are people who actually have retired by going nonstop into cruise ships.
Since its cheaper than paying a care house.

Rising prices of cruising on top quality ships anyhow has indicating that the financial strain of living on a cruise ship is greater than originally believed at the turn of the century as cruise lines caught on. Still, the trend towards spending retirement on the sea has clearly opened up corporate mind set, opportunity for cruise companies to directly target a higher price point of retirement demographic, as the re-upping seniors became an easy and vulnerable target. While originally true option, in today's economy it has pretty much been debunked-being a cheaper living arrangement. Though some retirement aged people certainly would rather be at sea and detached from society and still do so, it is just more expensive to permanently stay aboard and the seniors doing this has dramatically declined for the last decade or so.

Sounds yummy (except for the salmon, as fish are friends not food ;)) !:hungry:

And Happy Birthday to James! :)

Had the best salmon over the weekend. :hungry: That living with the land theme.

The world can keep mussels, clams, snails and all things slimy though. :hungover:

Will anyone on this forum admit to still eating "kid's" cereal? I like many of them, but one of my favorites is Captain Crunch. My local supermarket was having a sale that I couldn't pass up. Captain Crunch for $1.99 each....but you must buy 3 to get that price.View attachment 299329

Nope. I can't do things that sweet anymore for breakfast. And by night I'd rather waste those calories on something else sweet. But in reality I am more of a savory snacker than a sweet snacker...even at Disney.

So, the first line in this really great review for my new play is "Walt Disney would turn over in his grave if he saw Wonderland Wives." Ummmmm.......that's sort of what I was going for, so......mission accomplished? 😜

What a nice review. Happy for you.

Me, I never cared for the Disney Princess profile image, Cinderella and Cinderella 2 work on my last nerve. I'd would love the poking fun aspect of the Princesses. Now if you start poking fun at Chip & Dale or Donald Duck, well we might need to talk about that. ;) Glad it is working out well for you. Wish you well.

The act of sleeping for short periods during the day, typically done by young kids, but the pleasure is usually wasted on them.

I'm loving seeing the pods employers are providing for 20-30 minute naps at the workplace. I've never been a napper as I take too long to fall asleep so the overall length of time is way beyond the nap thing so I only tend to nap if I am sick. So envious of those who can nap, my DD and I can't, envious of my DS that has mastered the power nap.

So, more slow runup to mini TR...!!!!! :hilarious:
Just gonna’ fill in some gaps from the trip to port.
We met BIL at the Buc-ee’s off of I-45 in League City, Texas about halfway between Houston and Galveston. He followed us to the port with MIL and niece in his car.
As a side note, Buc-ee’s is a Texas thang...!!! ;)
The largest one is in New Braunfels, Texas (home of the original Schlitterbahn), and about an hour away from us. That particular location is the largest convenience store in the world at 68,000 sq. ft...no 18-wheelers allowed... :cyclops:

Here is some more about that location, and Buc-ee’s In general...

So, 120 gas pumps . . . do all of those ever get used at the same time? Unless that's the only gas station within a few hours of anything else, I can't imagine the need for 120 pumps at the same location.

Is the draw to this location, the fact that it's the largest convenience store in the world? Is this place a "destination", more than a place to fill up your car's tank? ;)

It’s 45mins to an hour from our house, depending on traffic. WTH???

Seriously.. I don’t understand!!!
They have got to be kidding. When I was a kid practice was right after school but then again the fields were either the ones at school or nearby parks
