My nap was a whole 15 minutes. I was more "just resting my eyes" as my dad used to say.

It would have just moved Metcalfe west slightly and aded some green space around it. I think they could actually get rid of Metcalfe altogether. All historic buildings would have been moved. There were similar proposals when Mackenzie King was Prime Minister but they decided instead to make Elgin into a grand boulevard with the War Memorial at the end. Sparks St. is actually in kind of a sad state right now. It's not the vibrant shopping atmosphere it was in the 70's. The idea that a Metcalfe national mall would be too grand and un-Canadian was a popular complaint about the proposal. You know the old Canadian sentiment "good enough is good enough." That sentiment always upsets me though. Ottawa really could be by far the greatest capital in the world if it weren't for that sentiment.

I never did eat at D'Arcy McGee's but I did frequent the Highlander Pub on Rideau a lot. They have great bangers and mash. Dang, I need to book a flight.

Went to the doctor. I've got a sinus infection, bronchitis, and a viral throat infection. Which I can't feel because I apparently don't have very many nerves in my throat since I have no tonsils. Apparently I should feel like I'm swallowing glass because of how bad it looks, but only feel it a little now that he pointed it out to me. So...no school tomorrow; I can go back Thursday as long as I'm not feverish or severely asthmatic.

So, Clean Sheet Friday is three days early this week ... or four days late, depending how you look at it.

Somebody who sleeps on Hubby's side of the bed (not saying it was him) knicked his/her neck shaving and got a few drops of blood on the sheets; so I was hesitant to put on fresh clean sheets until I was sure whoever's neck was done bleeding.

It's Clean Sheet Tuesday - BOO-YAH!

Plus I have leftover beer can chicken and smashed potatoes for supper. Double boo-yah!
