Insurance is paying for the entire thing, minus rental car and deductible, though that will only be $25 per day, and they're going to try to have my car back to me by Friday.

I asked my dad if he could build me a garage in the backyard....:hilarious:

Animals can really wreak havoc on cars. I'm a little surprised that this happened in the hotter weather though--usually they tend to "nest" in colder months--often attracted by the heat of the engine. I've also heard a number of times how cats can get into cars and take up residence. Anyway, what a nuisance, and especially in a brand new car!!! :jawdrop:

Are premade garages expensive?
Cheapest ones are 2K, and you still have to pour cement for the floor and do more assembly. I very strongly doubt that it's happening. But it doesn't hurt to ask...:hilarious:

He is getting an exterminator to see what we can do about the rodents, other than letting Belle and Jasmine go hunting.

I have a Nissan Altima as a rental. I walked up to it and thought, "Hmm...a car I didn't test drive." I got into it and was like, "Oh, no, thank you." 😂 I did keep it; I mean, it has four wheels and an engine, but good grief, I miss my Civic.

So my car...

Some sort of rodent got into it, chewed, and now, there's a leak of gas fluids. So...it needs a whole new gas tank. My one month old car needs a new gas tank.

Level of irritation....:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

That is such a bummer. My husband just bought some moth balls for our porch area to keep pests away and they are lavender scented perhaps you’ll want to try those so they don’t make your car some like regular mothballs.

Some of us like Altimas. A lot. 😂
It's nice on space, and it has keyless entry, but the screen for the backup camera is tiny, the cloth seats aren't good quality (the driver's seat has two holes in it) it has little acceleration until you shift it into S mode, and I don't care how high that seat goes; I still can't see out of it. I remember not looking at it because it was on the lower end of the rankings for it's class, and I already looked at eight different vehicles. Got in the Civic, was like, "This one. Mine."

I don't have very long with the Altima, thank goodness. The lovely little green gecko authorized the dealer to overnight the part, so I should have my Civic by Friday at the lastest.

I wish there was a NJ forum.:cool::p I'll just throw out my question anyway;).....Here goes:
If my 16 year old moves on from working at her new job......say before she turns 18 she wants to work somewhere else instead. In that hypothetical instance, would she need new NJ "working papers"? Would we be starting the official paperwork all over again? If yes, I surely hope she wouldn't need a new physical exam. Maybe I would need to make a trip to the physicians office and a staff member would sign the form on the physicians behalf? She's not quitting....it's just a hypothetical question.
