No, he sold his place in Florida and moving to Mex because its cheaper to live on every aspect.
Also complained that the US in general is very "cold". They like how warm Mexicans are with other people.

The bad? the boss is again going to be a few blocks away from where I live.

Nope, no incentives but promises as usual, he already said that via emails. He claims he will be more transparent on whats going on. I do not care honestly, been on reduced salary for almost 3 years now with very little change to improve.
Even worse when they try to appease me with getting me to lunch. Like that somehow replaces a few hundred dollars per month of salary difference.

What annoys me is that the boss already "demonstrated" some self defense methods he used when he was the Canadian Navy equivalent (aka break arms, nose, neck, etc..) and I did not take kindly that "demonstration". That was yet another point against working for them more.

As for DCL, nope, they rejected me so fast. Which is weird, because their offer is still up in the site. I think they have very specific demands on that position (despite filling almost all the qualifications for that position already).

As for Royal Caribbean, probably in the lowest tier as well (they try to hire people who they had worked on their cruise line, then they try new people from other criuse lines, then new people. because training costs).

I'm getting serious on trying to plan for a new life in Canada.

Well see how it goes.

I thought the same. If you want to fire someone you can do it over the phone and not travel a couple thousand miles.

There is no ability to call and ask why you were rejected? I kind of miss the old days where you were able to call and get more information about jobs.
