Hi all!
I posted this question on WDWMagic's Gadgets and Technology Forum.....but this forum has MUCH more people viewing it.....AND also people who "know" me.
So,
Today my 16 year old told me she pushed the power button on our "Alexa Show" and it did not respond. My daughter unplugged it after a few tries. I checked that outlet and it has electricity flowing through it as usual.
The Alexa Show was dead when I tried it as well.
There is no battery.....so nothing to replace.
Just a power cord and the device...that's it.
Anyone have any thoughts?View attachment 291082

Echo Shows run a modified version of Android, so you can try this...

Hold the power button and volume down button. Hold it for at least 30 seconds.

See if this works. I'm not 100% sure that it will, but it's worth a shot.

I think the $25 membership is one of the best “values” that still exist. Especially when combined with kids’ club

The main problem is- so many people just don’t know. Amazon has adverts everywhere.. B&N needs to do a better job with that.

Sounds like it could be a catch 22 for them.
They could substantially increase their advertising budget, but, would they then have to raise prices enough to make up the difference, and thus turn off the potential customers they were trying to reach with the advertising in the first place...?
I'm, obviously, no CEO with an MBA ;), but, just a thought... :cyclops:

I spoke with some of the gardeners there and they said they are in beds daily changing plants out.

Every time I think of Flower and Garden (or anything garden-related at Disney), I think of Imagineer Horticulturist Disney Legend Morgan"Bill" Evans. The guy was a plant genius, all the way around.
He and his brother were hired by Walt to landscape his Holmby Hills home, and he then hired him to coordinate the landscaping for the upcoming Disneyland.
He even came up with the idea of planting orange trees (Disneyland was built on orange grove land) on Jungle Cruise upside down to simulate mangroves.
Now, that's I'm talkin' 'bout...!!! ;) ;)

Yes it did.

I wonder what the margin on shoe rental is over the life of the shoes, and how much of that is factored into the $22 for one lousy game...I'm sure they buy them in bulk, and probably don't pay any more for a pair than what they charge for a first-time rental...all the rest is gravy.
TWDC wins big-time again...!!!!!!! :joyfull:
But, ya' can't blame 'em if the place is still hoppin'...

For products like this, the review section on Amazon can often be a really good troubleshooting resource as well!
Id honestly skip Amazon's reviews. Most of the time they are mostly done by the usual casual user and they do not know much.
You will see a lot of "wow most amazing thing ever!" or "doesnt work!" because they just do not know how to use the devices or use their potential or just do not know there are better alternatives.
