A: can we go to the salon, Mommy? I want short hair!

Me: are you sure, bear? If you cut it short you can't change it if you don't like it....

A: i will like it! I like my hair short! If you don't want to take me to the salon, that's okay. I don't need the salon. I have scissors. I can cut it myself!!

Me: :oops::oops: *books same day salon appointment*

Slowly, I am home but I have to administer IV antibiotics twice a day to myself. Takes up about 3 hours of my day, each day, but, it is far better then sitting in a hospital room.

It is also seeming to make my even less tolerant of fools. My anger about society is growing more and more intense with each passing day. I'm hoping when I get off the meds I may be a little more tolerant.
How many more days?

Emergency key as in your keychain or hidden IN the car?
Because if its in the car, wouldnt they exploit that weakness and thus steal your car?
or I'm confused?
No it is actually in the key fob itself. It can be separated from the fob. It will only operate the lock on the door, but won't be able to access the glove compartment if it is locked. It is the fail safe also in case the battery dies in the fob.

I had to do that for DS once. Not fun, and I can't imagine how he would have managed by himself. Still, I agree with you. It beats being stuck in a hospital bed.

Now, make sure you follow doctor's orders, and keep getting better. That's an order! :)

I was in the supermarket yesterday, and they had a ton of strawberries--a huge display with sponge cakes and cans of whipped cream. I was tempted, but didn't buy any. Strawberries were maybe were from California? So if you want strawberries, just check your local grocery store. :)

Yep, Cali accounts for about 80% of US strawberry production.

And, more useless trivia...!!! :cyclops: :hilarious: ;)

We have been unseasonably hot here the past, oh 3 days or so. Heat warnings since Friday afternoon, with heat index at 100. I told myself I won't complain, and I'm not. But, here comes the cool off and the rains. I am a little freaked out, especially after seeing the pictures of floods and washouts up through north MN, upper peninsula of Michigan, and Wisconsin.

My confusion was more of that weird name.. "FOB".
We call them here completely different. thus I was like WHAT THE HELL IS A FOB XD

Sounds like when a person goes on job interviews--many qualified candidates, yet only one is chosen. And qualifications and nuances can be random, depending upon the hiring person.

I recall a guy (who was at the time, the head of a small computer company) telling me that they were interviewing techs. He said they had 3 great candidates, and it was impossible to choose. He said it actually came down to the fact that one of them mentioned he liked tennis in his spare time. Turns out almost half of the office were tennis players--so guess who got the job? :joyfull:

Yep, it can be just that simple/subtle.
Two of the principal partners at the firm are Texas Tech grads. It doesn't guarantee you a position (as there are many Texas A&M, University of Texas, etc., grads), but it definitely doesn't hurt. ;)
They actually have one of their old professors from Texas Tech that's still teaching (I think the guy's in his mid-late 70's) bring a class down every spring to tour the office and have a catered meal, on alternating years, at those 2 partners homes.
