My heart went out to her, and I also miss her. My thought was that after the funeral and all the work she had to do to move out of the house, etc., she probably got to the point where things finally settled down. In some instances that may be good; but I also felt that once she wasn't so distracted by everything, the reality of her new life (so to speak) probably hit her very hard. (Again, all this is just speculation.)

The only thing I had a hard time understanding was why she moved out of the house so quickly, as moving is such a difficult undertaking, even under the best circumstances. I do realize, however, that people are individuals and have many reasons for the decisions they make. I wish her well, and hope she returns here.
I thought it was a mistake for her to leave the house so soon. Too much stress involved. Her daughter and grandkids could have moved in with her. Starting a new life in a month maybe after such a loss...Still hoping she is hiking some trail out there in Colorado.

Hope he stays safe.

Time to eat crow..

Soccer was smarter than me when it came to cancelling. It was raining, but the storms moved away.

Sadly though, it sounds like Nervous T showed up today. :(. I’m worried for him.

I can solve this. Get him out of those outdoor sports, and have him take up indoor yoga or something!

Ha ha! The Fall (November) tryouts were indoors.. they should have done the same with Spring!!

Oh, @figmentfan423 , meant to tell you about a cut-off time for salads. (No, I'm not making this up! :hilarious: )

It was one early evening last week that I felt like getting a dinner salad. So I was at Sunshine Seasons, and they have a salad place. I looked at the menu and there was something called a power salad, which looked interesting (greens, quinoa, grilled chicken, almonds and honey viniagrette). But then I saw a sign that said it was closed, and to come back and visit them for lunch. (It was somewhere around 6 p.m.) Odd. Since when do people not order salads for dinner?

Tristan wanted to do a chalkboard and flowers for a teacher’s gift for his homeroom teacher, but we decided on a letterboard.
The rest are getting flowers and a small chalkboard (written by T).. except for his Spanish teacher, she’s getting flowers and a hand made salsa bowl that we bought for her in Mexico (forgot to give to her for Christmas).

Both of us are blanking on what to write!! He just went to bed, told me “Think of something totally epic, Mom. Something that she’ll love, then tell me tomorrow and I’ll put the letters on.”

Pinterest isn’t even helping.

I hope the early close was just a fluke. Would it surprise you if I told you I've had that salad(sans chicken and cheese) more than once.:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry:

I don't understand that either but we must remember that she went from two SS checks (his and hers) to just one and if he had a pension there is a good chance that stopped too. I don't really know, but, I can understand the desire to cut back on expenses.

Coworker: We need five laptops for interns.
Me: We're out of laptops. They'll need to use desktops.
Coworker: Well, what about the laptops that were returned sooner than 21 days ago?
Me: *goes is back, takes picture of empty shelf* We have no laptops.

Dang, I'm sassy.
You should have posed with a gang style pose while taking a selfie on the empty shelves for extra sasiness.
