Praying @donaldtoo and his family are all safe.

Thanks, Figgy. We're fine, and trying to remain alert and safe. Also, the authorities are now saying the incident this evening was an incendiary device and not a bomb, and appears not to be related to the package bombings. Either way, whether it was a copycat or not someone was still injured, but, thankfully has since been released from the hospital.
Besides the package that exploded at the FedEx facility down near San Antonio, another package containing an explosive device that did not go off was also found this morning at a South Austin FedEx facility. Just insanity.

And, in light of this present situation, we finally did it...tonight we installed a security camera on our front porch. As our ex-military neighbors that used to live across the street from us used to say... "It's not paranoia, it's heightened awareness".
We've actually talked about doing it many times before, but, our neighborhood has always been so safe and all our big pups have always been good potential alarms.
But, it's happening in so many different parts of the city, it's a whole different ball game.
Sickening.

Edit...
The authorities are now saying the incident this evening that happened at a Goodwill location was some sort of memento military artillery piece/pieces. They think they just dropped them off thinking they were duds and was some passed family members collectible that whoever dropped it off didn't want. Apparently, the one worker opened it, realized it was an item/items they don't accept, handed it off to a coworker to go dispose of, and when the guy turned the corner, it/they went off.

Woof.

I know I've been away for a couple thousand pages or so...but I thought I was the music teacher around here! Happy Birthday @SteveBrickNJ - hope your Festival/Assessment goes well - if you are went yesterday/today, a good friend of mine was possibly judging you!

And...hello to all! Been away too long (and likely this is just a drop in visit), but snow days make for some good wdwmagic time!
Hello @brifraz
I don't know you....but glad to meet you :)
I teach beginning band. 5th graders. No festivals. The only "judges" are the principal and the asst. principal who write up my professional evaluations. What's your story?

I find in my older age (I turned 56 yesterday)that I can't make out the details on your typical paper folded map. Too small!
Or....I'm too old! Not sure which...

I've been going to Disney on and off, since 1990, and the prices are staggering when you compare my early trips to my current trips.

Yep. I still have ticket media, 4 and 5 day passes from my son who was a toddler in 1990.

Interesting fact: I had many tickets with a day or two left on them from when he was a child (3-9) When he went down from his internship he was staying at POR for a day before induction so he didn't have a CM Main Gate pass yet. I went in my drawer of extra Disney Passes and handed him one with one day left on it. (he was in his early 20s at the time) He looked at me like I was from Mars when I told him to turn it in and they would give him an Adult one day Park Hopper as that ticket was a PH. He called me happy and yet still surprised when he was given a one day park hopper by guest relations.

Me I still have all my individual ticket booklets from the 70's and early 80's. My Mom a few years ago was tossing things and I was like hold on there Missy.....

Are you kidding me? Probably the only thing I'd get (and wouldn't go out of my way to go there anymore) would be a tuna sandwich. I REALLY liked their hummus sandwich. It was a completely DIFFERENT sandwich from anything else at food places in MK. SIGH . . . :(

P.S.: I wouldn't bother with their $15 lobster roll--being from the Northeast, I know the best places for lobbie rolls and MK isn't one of them! :banghead:
Agree, the bread is awful in that lobster roll. I was disappointed.
Tasted very weak compared to other Rolls I had in Houston and Miami.

Lighthouse Sandwich gone!

Yeah, Vegan and Vegetarians guests who complained to Disney got this canned response.

product availability, and Guest feedback. Our goal is to provide our
Guests with items that meet our high quality standards while
accommodating as many requests as possible.

Please know, all of the restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort
offer at least one vegetarian option and most can be modified to be
vegan. Please speak to your server or a Special Diets trained Food &

for menu items.

As always, our Special Diets Team is committed to providing you with

I’m so envious! Send her a photo of the snow/rain.. then she won’t say it’s too hot there. ;)
I would if she did the 'cell phone' thing. She has one. It is always in her purse and turned off.

Both of my baths are all set to go.. all but the small matter of the flooring in each.lol. I keep going back and forth. I want this started soon so I have to just make a decision and go with it.

I couldn't decide and since they didn't meet in any way I went three different ways. The bath that had the most traffic I went with a classic black and white tile, with a slight shine and dark gray grout. It was easy to clean and the grout didn't stain. All the wall tiles in there surrounded the entire room 2/3 up were white so the white part of floor popped.

The other bath had tile that was maybe 2' x 6" long, narrow pieces that looked like wood. It was satin finished and showed more drips than the other bath floors. The powder room had barn wood floors. They were one inch thick solid maple flooring. You could flood that floor and nothing was happening to that wood. It is one of the few things that remained in any of the baths.

I've seen the ticket stubs.

I do wonder how sustainable this pricing structure is, yet here I am with an up and coming vacation, the parks are as crowded as ever.

I've did that week back in 2014 it isn't real bad, can't remember if it is the state of Pennsylvania or Massachusetts that the entire state has spring break that week. Everyone in line with us with younger kids were from there for the Magical Express. Something about warmer weather, F&G over F&W makes most guests a tad nicer, happy to be in warmth over heat and humidity of F&W.

How long will ya be in Disney for?
