I'm heading to NOLA in a couple of weeks! My nephew will be there with us (he's 9 now) so I'll try to pay attention to the things that really light him up while we're there, for you!

Awesome!!! Hope y'all have a BLAST!!!!!!! :joyfull:

We were last there for a long weekend for our youngest DDs 21st birthday back in Sept. of '15, and had a blast. It was a hoot of a time, and we also enjoyed some REALLY good eats!!! Everything from The Ruby Slipper Cafe, to Napoleon House, to Acme Oyster House, to Camellia Grill, and, of course, Cafe du Monde...another AWESOME family trip...!!!!!

Again, hope y'all have an awesome time...!!!!! :)

Let me tell you about my Saturday night. Got a phone call on the house phone came up POLICE with a far south area code. Figured it was a scam call, so didn't rush to answer. It was an officer wanting to ask my DH a few questions. Which was weird. A town, in IL, but he had never been there. DH called the station directly, and he is now a star witness. The police were called on a domestic violence case, and they asked the guy for his license. He gave them a license, with his picture, but all of DH's info. We knew his identity had been stolen, and that they also had his social security number. Always figured it had been part of a bigger thing. Not some guy 50 miles or so south of us. Had some credit cards, too. Since DH has a credit freeze, not sure how the guy managed to get them.

Officer sent an email with the fake ID yesterday to DH. Um, yeah, not even close to looking like DH.

You Win! :grumpy: Or loose actually, I am sorry.

Seriously??? Full Moon out last Saturday or what?

I love CoP, but Country Bears is just not my thing. We did it last trip for the nostalgia....I hadn't seen it since I was a kid and I thought maybe I hadn't remembered it from my childhood. I didn't really like it then, but thought maybe I would have a new appreciation for it as an adult. Nope. Tiki is another one I'm not fond of. But I think that's the beauty of Disney....if you don't like one thing, there are plenty of others. I LOVE the Philharmagic...so cute. Bugs at AK terrified DS, I fell asleep during FotLK (That MAY have just been that I was SOOOOO tired that day from getting up early to do laundry before the rest of the family got up), but we all LOVED Nemo. I think Disney learned though, that with some of those longer attractions or shows, people will need an exit. There will be potty emergencies, or scared kiddos, and they have learned to make a convenient exit place for those incidents, so the newer ones have that where the older ones don't.

I will go on off the top of my head every attraction from Ole School Disney. I can't say I love them all but I can't I guess say I hate them. There are attractions that mess with me in my AARP years and a few before that I will not ride anymore. That sick swishing head feeling. Mission I only did once, never again and there are many more like Tea Cups Star Tours and Rock'n. I fear my Days of Everest might be next.

But I have so many I adore so I just get to enjoy those more times per trip.

Good or bad ? That includes flights from UK and horror car.
Not sure compared to UK normal prices.

But then, I paid nearly .. hmm.. 80,000 pesos (around 4,600 USD back then) for a full trip of 4 persons in a 2 room DVC(Old Key west), full tickets with hopper, transportation and food right on new year's. Plus Universal hotel (very cheap) with 3 day tickets for all of us.

We also had a California grill reservation (which I only paid my niece's as I'm her godfather).

Wow, thats some serious scamming prowess. Good thing he was detained and will hopefully be in jail for a bit.

Yeah, this whole conversation has made me ever so grateful for the opportunity to stay at SOG.... I have an airline credit to burn so i was thinking of taking the nugget back to Disney in January while my husband is at a conference, but three trips in one calendar year might be excessive for us. Still, with airline credits and annual passes, we'd only need to pay for the resort and food.....
Well, if these points can disappear.. I say WHY NOT.. even if its "excessive". Better to use than let them go to waste.
