I hate when the sport journalists ask the competitors how they feel after they screw up. Specifically this time I am talking about skater Nathan Chen. He probably feels bad enough and then they ask stuff like what happened, how do you feel. I mean, really? How about how exciting for you to be at your first Olympics?

Actually, that's what they always do, Olympics or not. Not much different with sports teams after games--if they don't win, the news people will always ask what they think might have gone wrong, etc. As for Nathan's short program, he had a few hiccups. (I loved the choreography, though.) He still has his free skate program coming up--we'll see if he rallies.

So when are you scheduled to come back to reality? I say scheduled 'cause we are sending a nasty storm eastward that we are dealing with NOW! :cautious:

DD secondary job sent an email that everyone is expected to show up for work tomorrow. :cautious: Then the Executive Director the Top Kahuna sent out I will be out tomorrow e-mail. (he should have said nothing) Schools announced closings early today for tomorrow even Chicago that rarely closed. Chicago closed even their park districts. This dude sends an I'll be out tomorrow email on the heels of everyone is to be here tomorrow email sent by the second in command to staff. Why? Like anyone knows his schedule normally?
Stupid. :cyclops:
That storm is just supposed to bring rain to us. The temps will be in the upper 40’s low 50’s. Stay warm.

Yes, and I hate that they do that. And the athletes cannot turn the tables on them because then they will be considered j*rks, but it is ok for the journalists to be insensitive.
