Well, that was college for me. My classes were divided in high school, so I was in classes with students on my level. The only thing I found about that was that some of the students could get very competitive with one another. To the point of being nasty. Honestly, part of the reason I went where I did for college was because I knew kids wouldn't be like that.Yeah, it's much simpler in the US, but I actually like the system here better. You know how you HATED group projects because not everyone is motivated, etc? Because schools are divided here, you are only in classes with YOUR level, so it's all like-minded kids at the same level.
I'm more familiar with Philly baseball fans, but when they've come down to Camden Yards in the past, they're not usually the most polite. Yankees fans are still the most rude. Red Sox fans are obnoxious, but usually polite and well behaved. But Philly fans were more poorly behaved then most the few times over the years when they've been down.I am not aware of any bad behavior by the fans. Like you, I just watched on tv and all the focus was on the game. Anyway, Vikings fans are cool.
Sorry. There are actually plenty of normal/decent Philadelphia sports fans. I'm one of them.I'm more familiar with Philly baseball fans, but when they've come down to Camden Yards in the past, they're not usually the most polite. Yankees fans are still the most rude. Will you guys ever get over losing that war. Be glad that you aren't part of it right at the moment. You might through in a fairly large Patriot contingency in central North Carolina.
I'm not sure I got it from Mr. GoogleI love that bridge. Taken from the Headlands?

Sympathy like.A few snow pictures for you. Kapono didn't seem to want to venture out very far. She stopped at the spot she is at in the picture and stood for a minute before turning around.

Off topics. Not that we have topics but how are you feeling today?Well, that was college for me. My classes were divided in high school, so I was in classes with students on my level. Then again, there were benefits to being in a mixed bag. I had to take this engineering based class, and let's just say I sucked at it. Like, really sucked. The teacher partnered me with a Korean guy for our first project. He was excellent at it. He was really patient with me when I asked him to explain it, and I usually wrote up the papers and made sure everything was neat. Since his English wasn't as good, it worked out that he explained it to me and I wrote everything. I got the benefit of understanding it, and he didn't have to spend as much energy trying to figure out the writing. He must have liked working with me because we were later allowed to choose partners and chose to work together. So I do see some benefit when you're in a school with a mixed bag.
But I'm glad it's working out for your daughter. My high school was a long bus ride away, or 15 minutes by car. That makes me a bit envious that she's so close.

Sympathy like . Get well soon.I'm admitting defeat, I'm sick. The good news is it's been so long since I've been sick I didn't realize what was going on. ACHOO
But, it's wrong based on here in central North Carolina. I'm not talking about HATE either, just fans.Um, it's a map of the distribution of Eagles fans versus Pats fans. Or rather Hate Pats fans vs Pats fans.
Carnival cruise lines doesn't require you to have a passport.Interesting. This is what Disney Cruise Line requires to board. Which I thought was ICE requirement, not the cruise line.
"All Guests claiming U.S. citizenship must present one of the following as proof of U.S. citizenship:
If you don't have a valid passport/card, you must have a state issued ID and birth certificate. My daughter somehow managed to mess up her passport application. She brought her Fla birth certificate and had to show that with her Fla driver's license when checking on on embarcation day. And when I checked us in online, I had to indicate what ID we were using. If passport/card, I had to enter that number.
- A valid U.S. Passport
- A valid U.S. Passport Card
- A valid Trusted Traveler Card (NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
- Government-issued photo ID along with one of the following:
- Original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate"
In all the games we've been to at Heinz Field and Cleveland Stadium we've never had a problem either. Granted there's always a chance for a real jerk. I have family that works onfield security at Browns games and I've heard some stories about the intoxicated.I saw this type of stuff being reported too. It seems as is this kind of behavior is prided by the eagles fans, and I really don't understand that. Even if it wasn't directed at fan of the team I follow I still don't think people should be afraid or have to prepare for a riot to go watch a football (or any sporting) game. Yet this type of story seems to be perpetual for Philly teams. I think it is unacceptable. Some other cities have this reputation as well, when Hubs and I have gone to Wrigley to see the Cubs he has warned me not to wear any Twins stuff especially in the bleachers section.
I remember a couple years ago my husband (who is a Bears fan) went to Lambeau Field in Green Bay for a Packer/Bears game. He said that the guy next to him teased him a little in a good natured way about being a Bears fan in a sea of Packer fans, but it was as a joke and later the guy shared his BBQ pork nachos with hubs. Hubs has worn Cubs paraphernalia to MN Twins games and never had anything said or thrown at him.
It is sad when people can't treat visiting fans with respect. It is just a game. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised sometimes respect is lacking in other areas as well.![]()

Weird, huh! It is "suggested" but not required. We always take our passports. As long as you are sailing out of and returning to the same US port on a closed loop cruise you aren't required to have a passport. You must have a birth certificate and state ID to prove your citizenship.Wait, what? So you can board without proof of citizenship for cruises that leave US territorial waters? Gonna have a hard time getting through Customs when you get off.
In my country we joke about making Google a "saint"Well, Mr. Google did a bang up job.
I'm still wondering how do they do it? usually Cruise companies make the preparations for both depart, arrival at foreign nations AND then return. And don't all these steps require a passport?Wait, what? So you can board without proof of citizenship for cruises that leave US territorial waters? Gonna have a hard time getting through Customs when you get off.
Edit: State Department rules allow US citizens on closed loop cruises to use either a passport or state issued ID & birth certificate. The rules state the Enhanced DL can substitute for either document requirement on these types of cruises. But without an Enhanced DL, passport or DL/birth certificate, Carnival cannot let you board. And you probably need that passport at cruise ports of call. More importantly, Customs won't let you leave port when you return to US without proper documents.

I recently called to see if my daughter would need one since she'll be a teenager and was told that spiel.
