I called Thursdaay for a doctor's appointment and they were completely booked. I've never had that happen. At that point, my option was to go to urgent care or go the next day. I opted to just see my doctor. Urgent care has a higher copay, and it's a toss up of who you see. Sometimes you'll see someone good, othertimes not, and I just can't take the chance when my lungs start getting involved. I know any of the doctors in the practice know what they're doing, but thankfully I got in with mine, which is even better.
Sorry to hear you had to wait a day, but it's better than an ER where they don't understand asthma.

All the docs and EDs are starting to get overwhelmed with incoming patients --cold and flu season. A week ago, I tried to get an appt. with my MD, and he was booked for weeks out. (My medical problem wasn't an emergency or anything like that.) Instead, I spoke to his nurse practitioner on the phone, and she gave me some tips. Luckily, my symptoms finally subsided a few days after that.

THNX that was plan A. Plan B is already in action he's chopping and no breakfast until the first pile is completed. I love a good 3 day weekend:angelic:

My DD comment was oh eeek. And yes Plan A is always there for backup. I just love Plan B and Food as incentive to get to getting. Guessing he is duly noting his comment wasn't acceptable and will think long and hard before that comes out of his mouth ever again.

In case anyone is looking for sales this holiday weekend, L L Bean (on their web site--maybe in their stores, too, but not sure) has a 25% off.

I just ordered rain pants (a nice tech, waterproof material), that also double as pants you can put over jeans, etc., in winter, when there's a big storm. You'll stay dry in these. And because I bought a bunch of presents for people back at Christmas, I also earned some promotional $10 free cards. In addition, I had a gift card my brother gave me.

In the end, I got them for FREE, and I still have money left on my gift card!! Happy Dance!!! :joyfull:

I don't recall what year it was, but I remember the first time I saw a scene in Spaceship Earth, where 2 families were talking to each other from different locations--and they could each see the other on a TV screen. That was the most exciting thing for the future, I thought. :geek:

Now, we've reached that level with Skype, etc. But, you wanna know what? It was actually more exciting for me to "dream it" years ago, than the present reality fulfilled. ;)

I have never skype'd. I've only facetimed a couple of times and if I recall it was my DD wanting to see what I thought of an outfit before she left. I'm not a phone person let alone phone with a face type. I do know many people who keep in contact with Grandchildren this way though, or parents and their small kids while they travel.

I didn’t need to be up until 5am, but apparently I am too excited to sleep. I got up and looked at my phone and thought it said 4. I felt well rested, so I thought I will just hang out in bed and keep quiet since the other mom, her kid, and dd are sleeping soundly. Anyways, I took another look at the phone and it was 2, not 4.:banghead: Well I realized I needed to sleep more, but of course after tossing and turning for almost 2 hours I gave up. :mad:So here I am. Not very happy with myself right now. I will pay for it later for sure.:rolleyes:

I, in my head asked with your first post what the heck you were doing up!

I did that spotty sleeping thing earlier in the week. Was not amused.

Wait a minute . . . something wrong with this photo. That sure looks like the tip of a sneaker in the lower corner. What did you do with your flip flops? :cautious: How can you do a beer run without your flip flops?

Hahaaa...BUSTED...!!!!!!! :hilarious: :joyfull:
I was gonna' post the pic without my tennis shoe in it, but, I wanted to see if anyone would catch that...good job!
In my defense, there was no country dancing on that excursion, but, a heckuva lot of walking during the first half of it!
Actually, anytime I'm gonna' do a lot of walking I always wear tennis shoes. I wear flip flops around our resort at WDW, but, have never worn them to a Park.

As far as beer runs go, I actually only had a few beers (plus some tequila sunrises) for a part of one day. That was for the alcohol inclusive excursion we did in Costa Maya (our first stop). The rest of the cruise I mostly drank "strong" island iced teas or margaritas...! :hungry:
