This is one area that I am very much in my mother's image. (I certainly could have picked a better example. )

She didn't believe in self-cleaning ovens as she felt it was a waste of electricity, because they got so high in temperature. Don't ask me why, but I could never get that out of my head, all these years later . . . so I just get the can of Easy Off oven cleaner (they now come in fume-free), and just scrub it all out. Kinda like a retro Minnie from the 50s . . . :geek: :hilarious:.

Yeah, I'm not doing that. I don't scrub anything that need not be scrubbed.

In Boston, we have the L Street Brownies--they take the plunge every year--can't wait to see this in a few days--our temps are around zero, without the wind! This year will mark the 114th annual "event" . Few photos from last year below (from Google) --

I'm so jealous of people who's children sleep in cribs for so long. We had to transition to a toddler bed at just over a year old because my monkey spawn kept climbing over and out
I was pretty lucky. All my kids stayed in their cribs. All but one were in it for 3 years. Just the oldest was out of hers at 2 and a half to give to ds when he was too big for the bassinet.

I think part of it has to do with the TSA lines. At random times, they're insanely long, and I think that WDW bus service is just trying to cover the bases and get people to their airlines on time.

Yes the TSA lines. But you can't cram that many people into a lobby area that wasn't built to accommodate that. Returning in December the lines were push and shove not single file, smashed in with backpacks and rolling carry ons. One man behind us tripped, fell and hit his head into a concrete pillar and blood was everywhere. It is an unsafe amount of people in a given area of square feet. Reason why most buildings and rooms have a maximum capacity.

Watching how long it takes to analyze a salad or sending a woman for additional screening 'cause she had a food receipt hanging out of her jean pocket 'and instructions were to take EVERYTHING out of your pockets' I tend to agree it is the TSA but it doesn't change the logic that the buildings were never built to house travelers 4 hours in advance. The paramedics couldn't get through for the bleeding man and when they did there was no room to accommodate the EMTs. MCO is just a very difficult place to board a plane now, very different than our September trip. Lots of guests use to do the parks for a half day on departure day. Disney is sure to loose out on that with many guests that fly if their ME bus leaves 4 hours in advance and you need to leave the park at least an hour before that to get back to your resort.

No
But how did your dad think he'd ever get away with not taking you when SWE opens???? Has he MET you?
Excellent question. When Star Tours relaunched in 2011, we went down that June for a four day trip after Hilton Head. He thought he could get away with skipping Studios and waiting until our August trip. Not only did we go to Studios, he ended up standing in a 50 minute line for it, which exceeds his typical limit for waiting in line.

Wrong he was.

I'm so disappointed...they don't have Coco here in English. They usually do an original version and a dubbed version and we always go to the original because you just can't translate most jokes...they are usually plays on words and they lose their meaning when translated. But now I'm torn...do we go to the Dutch version, knowing we'll miss a lot? Or do we wait until it hopefully comes out on Netflix or something? Do I plan on getting the DVD when it comes out so I can watch it in English whenever?

DH still needs to watch Star Wars. He took DS the other day, but DS got dizzy and nauseated from the 3D and they had to leave before they were even half way through the movie. So now he needs to go back.
Pretty sure that even if you see the movie in english, you will miss the mexican exclusive jokes :P

This is funny. We've always had a full mattress at home, because we've always lived in small places. But I never thought of it as small.

OK I'm confused. A twin bed is 38 inches wide. A full is 48. A twin is for one person and a full at Disney is meant for 2 people but only 10 inches wider than the twin? Yep I find a full very small for 2 people. At least a queen ponies up to 60 inches. Me, I grew up with a twin bed but have had a king for 35+ years. A king is nice especially when shared with spinning, rocking snoring person.

Poor DS. :(

Here my guess is Coco will come out by Easter (for Easter Baskets) Seems to be when most Winter Holiday movies move onto DVD release.

Glad you made it home safely. I'll drive a bit in snow, but not in ice at all.

And repeat. The same thing happened again by noon today. Came back. The one road they did salt was fine. The rest were nasty. Not like they didn't know it was coming you could see it sailing right at us on the radar. It is just too cold not to salt.

Try again tomorrow.

We went from full to queen to king. it is rough going back to a queen when we go to hotels. The space of a king is awesome.

My DS was 2 and to a full twin bed. My DD was just over a year and went into a junior bed. Her Dad one morning while I was at work found her asleep on her bedroom floor. She was a good climber. We never knew if she fell or climbed out. When I got home I went and bought a toddler frame that fit the crib matress.

She opted herself for the crib so she could have her own bed. Just how her mind works.

I don't want to go out today! Nope don't want to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a few things to pick up for Sunday and it's the last day for my favorite cashier. I have to go and officially say good bye:( I also have a nail appointment, time to say good bye to the slightly loud Christmas design:( at least I get to wear my new boots:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull:

I got new boots today. My Sis sent me these Hunter mat boots for Christmas and Hunter boot socks

They were talls and unfortunately a size too big plus the came up in front over the lower portion of my knee cap.
Sooo to Nordstroms I headed out before the snow started and exchanged them for the slightly shorter ones that
are a better fit for me being short. They come up about mid calf. Better.
