Family get-togethers are always an experience. First of all, the dog was hyper and out of control. He gets all excited for company, but he drove me nuts in the kitchen yesterday. He's not used to so much food around, and I almost tripped over him a few times. We were constantly telling him to go to the other room, but he kept sneaking back in. He also nearly stole the Brie I had out on the appetizer table in the livingroom. :cautious:

Then, at one point, my sister tells us we're "just about out of toilet paper" in the bathroom. Hubs goes to look, and a half roll is still there. o_O So a few hours later, she tells us AGAIN . . . hubs looked again, no change.

Finally, he goes to the closet and brings 16 rolls of toilet paper (we buy in bulk packages) and stacked them all up the bathroom for her! :p :D

That is a precious picture. Rapunzel looks in love with her. Hope you are having a ball. Heard MK had one phase of closing yesterday. Obviously you were not affected.:):)

We experienced zero crowds and zero wait times. Waking through Fantasyland my husband actually said "well I guess this must be the least popular area of the park or something" :hilarious::hilarious:

But when we left the park, we had to battle this on our way out:

100k of our closest friends all decided to show up at the same time.

JoAnn's has a big sale on yarn, and it begins today. Why does it now have to be super cold outside, and I have a scratchy throat, and the sniffles. My husband says to me. "You're not going out today!. Well maybe not today, but I do need milk, and a prescription needs picking up at Walgreens. Single Digit temps here in Chicago.

Hello everyone! It sounds like everyone had a good Christmas. @MinnieM123 , it sounds like you had a nice white Christmas and I thought it was super funny you left the casserole in the over, sorry it was ruined though. We had a nice time at my sister's house. My sister came up with a prize game that was really fun. She wrapped small prizes (candy, $1 store Disney items etc...) in plastic wrap in a big ball. We had to unwrap as much of the ball we could in 10 seconds and if a prize got unwrapped it was ours, and at the end of 10 seconds it was the next person's turn, that kept going until the ball was totally unwrapped. It was really fun and provided some good laughs. I ended up with almost all the Reese's peanut butter trees! I think we will do it next Christmas too. Hubs thought it would be fun to put little liquor bottles in it and then drink them! He clarified that that should only be for adults to play, not our 13 year old niece!

Today we are relaxing at home. We may or may not go out and go to the movies. I'm leaning towards not as it was -12 outside this morning! :cold:

Good idea to test drive a bunch of vehicles before you decide. The no interest thing is a good incentive, but please also check the full price at different dealers. Sometimes when someone offers you a carrot (no interest) there still may be a better deal (overall) at a different car dealer. That's how they got the word, dealer. :cautious: I don't trust any of them. My two cents worth.
My dad did that with his last car. He was trying to negotiate a lower price with the dealer they had used for my mom's car, and they refused. They went to another dealer, got a different one with more features for the same price. The service guy they normally use, who is now head of their sales department, was furious.

My grandson asked for tickets for a big 2 day Wrestling Event here in Chicago. My husband bought him the tickets, and my grandson's dad has been driving him to and from the event. Naturally the weather had to get cold just at this exact time. My husband recently put our older son on his car insurance so he could drive our car. My older son does not have a car at this point in his life, and misses the luxury of a car every day. So he is enjoying having his dad's car during this holiday week. My grandson does not have a driver's license and shows no interest in learning. That's for the best, since cars, and all that entails is a big responsibility, and a big expense. Sean and Cheyenne had a good time at last night's Wrestling Event, and the 2nd night is tonite.

I guess I can understand people wanting to be at either Disneyland, and or WDW for the holidays. However, the traveling and the crowds has kept me away, except back in 2008, when I did an early December trip to California. It was great, except I came home with a bad case of laryngitis.
I personally prefer DL when it's crowded. Even though those paths are narrow, there's always something around with a shorter wait. WDW is hard in crowds because everything gets crowded.

I went in January when it was very crowded because the AP blackout ended. I went in one day for four hours my first day and managed to do four rides and have lunch. WDW...nah.

Usually, once you get out and move around, you warm up. In MA, we're getting close to zero, late Thursday into Friday.
