THNX for asking. About as well as can be expected and much better now than this morning. My dh stopped at the farm to pick up a roast:hungover: in case the family get together is cancelled next week. I think getting out for a drive did him some good. How are you and yours holding up?
Well, they couldn't find anything with FIL, so they sent him home. It's rather scary as he still has trouble breathing. But without finding pneumonia or a blood clot, they weren't left with many options to treat him...so hopefully it's just a temporary set back and he'll feel better soon. So we're a bit stressed, but otherwise fine, thanks.
Where were you all getting together? Was it on Christmas or is it supposed to be before that? Here's hoping the plans don't change a whole lot.

Only one of mine got deleted, but it quoted one of his that got deleted, so I'm not surprised. I'm surprised the one where I told him to do a thorough self examination before resuming his role as the moral policeman of the world didn't get deleted. :cyclops::angelic:

THANK YOU for this!! I've been racking my brain for how my comment could have been construed as a personal attack!! I quoted one of his that got deleted!! I hope that's it, because I definitely wasn't meaning to sound offensive!

That was probably it. They usually delete an attack and responses to it. Otherwise, then what was the point of deleting the original comment?

Probably nothing you said. :)

He didn't get the "my god your awesome" response he wanted so he blames this thread now for all "sticking together".
Exactly! He expected to get heralded as a hero and then when that didn't happen got defensive. And we weren't the only ones who had a problem with the entire incident.

Also, I don't think my parents ever expected anyone to give up their seat for us. When I got to be about four or five, I remember standing and holding on to a bar or my dad's leg. My brother was a different story. Hs's had balance issues and has only recently learned how to stand on the bus. If he needed to sit and there were no seats, we would wait for the next one, and now, even though he can stand, because it's not as easy for him, we don't expect him to give up his seat for someone else. Usually, my parents will stand and he and I will sit if needed, him because of his balance issues, me because being short means there's quite often limited places where I can stand on these newer buses. The ones when I was growing up had more handrails that were lower. I don't know why they changed it. It's a very real problem for kids and short people.
