Wow, and you could do that all online? Amazing. :)
Yes! But I really think online classes are more difficult - the amount of reading and writing is beyond ridiculous depending on the class.

EDIT: If you have kids, you need to have a really good support system in place to help out...I've had to repeat classes a few times just because of due dates conflicting with sick kids, etc.

Did you previously get a degree, or were you making up for not having one previously? I find it admirable to go back to school when you are older. :)
Started from scratch. And thank you! I will definitely be pursuing a master's, but that will feel like a piece of cake since I'll only have to take classes related to my major instead of all the other stuff too. (I think both majors ended up being like 133 credits or something...which was around 20 more credits than a single major would have been.)

Well, you deserve a trip to Disney World for this. :) I am guessing that you haven't really been able to take too many vacations, but the end result will be a benefit to you and your family.:)

Jan de Groot is the only place that makes the real ones so I try to go there when I am in the Netherlands. Not sure if I have time this trip.
I won't have a lot of time at the Heijderbos unfortunately as my family is only there till the 22nd of December when we move to the Efteling. I got lots of photos today on the family app, everyone is having fun so I am feeling a bit sorry for myself because I am the only one not there.
Well, the Efteling is great, too...and it's great that you'll finally get to see your nieces and nephews. I'm sure you'll have a great time, whatever or wherever. I hope you manage to get to Jan de Groot!

It totally will! We did take a long Disney trip in 2015 and a short one in 2016 (you can schedule time off whenever you like, but it messes with scheduling, financial aid, and all that jazz). We did Great Wolf Lodge a couple of times too, for a little one day/one night family refresher. We're working on the ultimate Disney trip - moving down! :)

I agree with you. At my workplace it's great though--they use WORK TIME (around lunch, midday) on a weekday, and about 50 of us are taken to a local restaurant. (I really put on the feed bag, too!! :joyfull: ) It's a huge buffet and people just pile up their plates and sit with anyone at large tables. There's no pretense--people just have a good time and chow down on free food!! :hungry:
THAT sounds great...I could get on board with that!

But, it was a Tuesday night. During the week, many people are working (either at a business outside the home, or work at home) and many families are taking care of the kids at home after school, etc. So are you saying that even on a Tuesday night, the mall "used to be packed"? Guess I'm just a little surprised, but more due to the timing.

Now, if it was the weekend, I'd really be surprised. Granted, the buying habits of customers have been changing over the years, and most people (in polls) indicate they do a combination of in-store, and online shopping for the holidays.

Five years ago you couldn't find a parking spot at the mall any night of the week between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It was swamped with people, even on Tuesday nights. Now it's a ghost town during the week!

Well friends, hubs dr. appointment for his ankle went pretty well. The bone isn't fully healed but is at the point in which the dr thought it should be. Hubs still can't drive. Incrementally he can start putting weight on it, 25% this week and building up to 100% in 4 weeks. So we will NOT be travelling to see his family this Christmas. He texted them and told them, and has only heard back from his brother-in-law. The brother-in-law's response is that we should fly to Chicago. He tried convincing my hubs a couple times. He even tried to convince him by saying that he would give up one of the full sized bed so we wouldn't have to stay in a hotel. Problem is the bedroom are all up a steep set of stairs, hubs can't even go up our stairs! But there was no response to hubs' invitation for them all to come up here.

So I think it will be a Merry Christmas for me this year!
Wow....they really have no insight into their own behavior, do they? How would flying to Chicago help? I say enjoy the nice Christmas with just the 2 of you!!!

Ugh...cold, windy and rainy today. On the up side, it did melt the snow on the streets and bike paths...on the down side, it was torture getting to the school to pick DS up and I came home soaked. My pants are in the dryer and I have to leave to pick up DD to take her to musical theater in about 15 minutes. *sigh*
Rough day. Our winds here had a peak of 36mph on our home barometer and the temp is 18F. :( On the bright side, we shouldn't see much snow from this system. Maybe just a dusting.

Sympathy like. I remember the days when I had to bike to school in the rain and wait for my jeans to dry. Usually took most of the day, not fun.

That is fantastic, congratulations! What an accomplished, I know it was hard work because I have done a few online classes etc. myself and finding the time to energy was the biggest issue.
Thank you! And yes - time and energy - my two most precious resources! There have been many, many overnighters and much lost sleep...but it's almost PARTAY TIME!

Honestly, I'm glad I've gotten it over with when I did...my oldest has been having a really tough year (6th grade), and I'll be able to dedicate much more time to helping him. (My boys are the biggest reason I chose the Education major as they are both autistic and it really helps for making sure they get the supports they need in school and to understand how kids develop and learn, etc., but I will most likely be looking for a job in the education fields.)

Well you shouldn't have a problem finding a job, and hopefully your dh will have an easy time as well.:)
