Yah, the parade was very enjoyable. (I was a bit put off by the various Disney advertising during the actual parade, but my guess is they paid some big bucks to do that. I know that every city and town can use more revenue, and I suppose it may have made financial sense for parade organizers to agree to the conditions.)

I won't watch it in Chicago. It is crazy crowded, I mean nutso. Makes the new Disney MK hub look enjoyable crazy. No bathrooms for the public, wall to wall people. It is always held during our state school board convention and the sanctioned hotels are right on Michigan Ave so they kinda seal down the hotels to 'protect' those staying there from the nutso in the streets. I've caught some from our hotel windows but I'd never go into that mess.

Thanks!! Looking forward to it so much!
We got in safely around 5. It is so cold here even with jackets! Can’t wait for the sun tomorrow so we can thaw out! Lol
Have you bought these yet??? I just bought my DD and myself pairs!!

Those glasses are so cute! And I love the case and cloth as well.

Santa knows!
Here's hoping you are on the nice list;)

My husband is so excited for the new movie. I think he may burst with excitement before Thursday night. He also has tickets to an Imax showing on Friday morning (a friend is going with him) and his best friend from high school is driving up from Peoria Illinois is driving up on Saturday just to take him to the movie.
Best of luck to him tomorrow. I'm hoping for he's able to do everything but long car rides for about a month.

I have only been to Dallas which I found rather disappointing. Pretty sure that is not the TEXAS you speak of. I have heard good things about Austin so would definitely come back to the lone star State to see a bit more of it.

Austin is fun; San Antonio, a beach town along the gulf, if you're looking for a wild wild West feeling there's basically anywhere in West Texas. Dallas has its merits but it's just another big city, imo.

That truly does suck. The winter weather is not going to be your friend for sure. Too bad there wasn't another family nearby that would split a cab with you. I say take the cab just for tomorrow, and try and figure alternative means to get to school for the future. Maybe there is someone nearby who goes there?
It all worked out. DH takes him every morning with the bike in the car, I pick him up by bike. So this morning, DH was watching the news and they were begging people to work from home if possible and advising no unnecessary travel. He told me to be safe and take a cab if it was too bad. That ended up not being necessary. This morning, DD fell off her bike before she even got out of our street, so she ended up walking. I had to take it slow going to work until I got out of our neighborhood...then the bike paths were pretty decent. I only had to step off and walk it a couple times. Right after lunch, I got a call that DS's school was closing early due to weather, so I had to leave early to pick him up, and there was a plow on the bike path right before we got there, so it was fine until we got back to our neighborhood. It was really windy though. I guess a bunch of the taxis refused to drive this morning, so a bunch of kids couldn't get to school. Then a bunch of the ones that were left showed up at noon to get the kids...so they decided to close early. But my choir rehearsal for tonight was also canceled, so now I have to go back into work to make up for the time I missed. They were actually trying to get people to stay late this afternoon before I left, so they are swamped, and then I had to leave early. So when my choir was canceled, I offered to come back in tonight. Long day, but it will look really good at my next evaluation.

@figmentfan423 Ever make chia pudding? Made it for the first time last night for breakfast this morning. Used coconut milk. It tastes really yummy.:hungry: I made a vanilla and chocolate. It is a tad runny, so I think I need to up the chia seeds. I am thinking of blending it next time and adding frozen fruit. When I told dh about making it he went, "cha, cha, cha chia".:hilarious:
Speaking of which, there's now a chia form of Baby Groot. In case you were wondering if there was anything useless you should give to your relatives. :joyfull:
