Avatar is basically the same story as Pocahontas but in space...not a riveting movie, but amazing visuals. I'm hoping the sequels are better and can't wait to see the land!
Agree with this, I found nothing specular story wise.
But it was indeed a giant tech leap in visuals.

I think the history was very basic to digest. Most of Cameron stories have had way higher meaning and deeper message and they while famous.. they weren't that hit money wise. (Titanic and Avatar, the biggest grossing films are more balanced and less "thinkering" )

I think Firefox is it's own company. They always ask for donations.
Firefox is part of the Mozilla Foundation (which makes a few other open source software )

Chrome is.. well.. part of the Alphabet of Google.

Vacations even minis make the best presents. Lifetime of memories. I would prefer that over "stuff", but sometimes the "stuff" costs a lot less, especially at half off.;)
Indeed.

I just facepalmed as some of the parts I bought on amazon.. have HIGHER discount today!
Should have waited.
The good thing is Amazon always price matches.
So already contacted them.

My biggest present issue will be DS asked for a certain gaming system I had in college. Apparently what is old is new again? They brought it back and now it is sold out everywhere. Hoping it gets restocked. But now I wish I would have kept it. I know I told my dad to throw it out a bunch of a years back when he asked. It was in perfect shape too.
Yeah, the crazy of "retro" classic games is going hard.
A lot of older games are getting remade or "remastered" for new computers and consoles too.

The SNES classic is a hit everywhere.

Sometimes they even return the money to your CC with no communication whatsoever.
Example. I once bought 2 cartridges of ink for my printer.
They were around 145 USD each one.
Next day after shipping they went down to 142 USD.

I got 3 USD back on my CC the week after I received them.

*edit*
Just talked with Amazon, they cancelled my older order and I just ordered the new one.
The difference in performance between the products I had purchased is like 30%.
The price difference was mere 25 USD.

Sad last Farm Market Saturday. Today I have a gazillion errands including finding etching sand for my dh's stocking. He only told me he needed it yesterday:cautious: My dh and I have decided to be horrible parents and do Christmas up big time for each other and the boys not quite as much. The boys only asked for clothes a couple of video games and some craft stuff. Come to think about it most of what my dh and I are getting is crafting related or in my case sewing.
Did you find the sand? I hope you managed to get everything done!

We needed to delay our day because of heavy rain and big ugly snow chunks falling out of the sky in between. It went back to rain and then more moderate rain so off we were on our adventure. About 80 minutes away is a massive craft fair in a Urban/Farm area, can't decide what that town wants to be. Farm to Subdivision to Farm to Feed Store to McMansions. Nothing like seeing a horse, cow and then Mercedes clad driveways. But the fair is so huge, more economical than around here and very little peddling things like soap lines, Pampered Chef etc. More original stuff than we saw at the one on Thursday where those were professional crafters that travel around the country. So glad the snow stopped cause I wasn't going to drive on ice or in snow on rural roads I don't know so well.

She had a great Birthday, fun was had.
I'm so glad both of you had a great time! The margarita's looked so good.

Seeing you like to shop online go to QVC, the has an assortment of pretty bags with draw strings. Put present in pull string and write name on tag that comes with it. Not exactly somebody doing it for you but the next best thing. I no longer wrap presents. I get bags from an actual store but the same idea.
We have used the QVC bags for about three years now. So easy and they hold up well. Now, I just have to go get something to put in those bags!;););)

I'm so happy for you. Having that gone before winter is great!
Yeah, we still have to get rid of the horses somehow and though there are only a few, there's apparently no market for horses. We don't really care either way about the money, but we can't even GIVE the suckers away. I'm putting it on FB...if anyone is willing to come and get them, they can HAVE them.

Our house is about 85% decorated for Christmas. I worked on it most of the morning today and last night we decorated the main tree in the living room. I just need to put up my Disney tree in the bedroom, put up my WDW Christmas photos in the main bathroom, and put out all of my nutcrackers. I have about 60 nutcrackers to place around the house.

So right now there are 3 big trees decorated, a mini one in the kitchen, and one in the guest room (where I hang out and read in the winter). There are two more trees on the porch but hubby says he wants to put the decorations on those. I think he is still upset that he can't put all his outside decorations up, especially since he bought quite a few new ones for this year. He does have some church members coming over on Tuesday to put up the Nativity outside.

Do you have artificial trees? I'm only asking because you put them up so early. We get a "real" tree every year but don't buy it until maybe the 2nd weekend in December. Otherwise, it would dry out too quickly with needles falling all over the place (even if you keep it watered).

You guys are all waaaaaaaay ahead of me with all the Christmas stuff, lol. I've been a Last-Minute-Sally since I enrolled in school...I really hate it.

Whether in school, or working full time and commuting, each situation drains a person. Sometimes, I just don't have the energy, and for some reason this past month has been extremely busy at work. Had two days that i put in close to 15 hours (with the commute added in) because we had large meeting events, that carried over into the evenings.

I am SO looking forward to 4 days off this week--Thanksgiving, and then Friday through Sunday. I need to recharge.

OMG...me too. We get an extra day on Wednesday. School wouldn't be bad by itself, but then being up until 3am working on a paper, then getting up at 6am to get the kiddos off to school...this last year has been literally bringing me right to the bare edge of hanging on. Thankfully, my last day of classes is Jan 15th. I plan on doing nothing but sleep (aside from taking care of the kiddos) for about a month.
