AMEN!!!!! right back at ya'!!!!!
As you already know, our DS was born at 1lb. 4oz.
This is, obviously, where most of his issues come into play.
I could write a book (he will be 25 next month) about his/our ups and downs.
If you saw him in public, and started a conversation with him, at first you would probably not know he was "different".
But, further into the conversation, you would probably know something was a bit different.
This is why it has, also, been so difficult to dial his particular situation in. Some are totally obvious, he's in a "blurry" area...as in he is "normal", but, at the same time, not so much.

He was first diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, then, along the way, Aspergers and on the autism spectrum. The ride has been amazing in a crazy way, but, he's our son, and there is NO way we're ever giving up or checking out.
He is funny, personable, social, although, he sometimes has issues with appropriate responses in certain situations (but, don't we all, sometimes   ;)).
He has major issues with time and space and math, and spelling. Yet, he can read like a maniac...!!! :jawdrop: Everyone is just wired sooo differently, and sometimes it's just so difficult to get it all sorted out.
However, he has had his job at the Salvation Army for a long time now, and he is very happy with that.
Bottom line, we did everything we were capable of doing for him, and we woudn't trade him EVER for anything.
We know in our hearts we did the right thing...!!!
Thank you xoxo

I'm feeling just a bit of guilt. My dh said he is working "tomorrow" and I did a bit of a happy dance:oops: I'm sorry but that's just how it is on a day when I got a whole 4 hours of sleep:devilish: Nope I'm not sorry, it's going to be nice tomorrow and I'm tossing the boys out to do yard work while the dh sleeps and I play ketchup inside.:D

Any more word about when (or if) he goes back on days? I wasn't sure if it was finalized yet.

EXCELLENT news!! Very happy for the whole family!
Thank you. He's talking about taking an extra day or 2 to get used to sunlight:hilarious::banghead: After that I should be able to sleep every night except Friday at least until football/handegg and concert seasons are over.:banghead: Believe it or not the boys are a bit upset about it, he yells better than me when they get mouthy in the morning and he'll be leaving right around the same time they do so one less thing for me to worry about. It's also easier to pack all the lunches at the same time:joyfull:

That is interesting. Remember back when we had El Nino, and that was also a theory about crazy weather, etc. I also found El Nino to be a good general excuse for everything--if I gained 10 pounds that year, it was El Nino's fault. Think I'll use the solar eclipse for 2017--I'm eating a jelly donut now, by the way. ;)

Just read the above to my DD. She loved your thought process too! :joyfull:

Wish we were closer James will need dress clothes for his concerts around the holidays. But if I got them now they might not fit by then:mad::arghh::bawling::banghead: Please tell me the growing will slow down soon, PLEASE!

I wish I could give you some relief on that, but, it's different with every kiddo. Your younger DS may not stop growing until he's 7'-6"-ish ...you just never know...!!! :D ;)

In other news, angry .. very angry... alot of mexicans are angry.
Not for the quake.. but to the politicians who are pretty much doing a huge media clown shows in views of the 2018 presidential and government/state elections.
They go to the destroyed buildings, hug and talk to the people affected, leave witouth helping or sending a single dime of money.. then call themselves "the choice" for 2018.
Not to mention that some politicians are EVEN STEALING the trucks full of food and resources for the affected people, and delivered them to their personal houses.

Social media is now urging everyone to mark every product with hard to remove marker with a "for quake victims" and blocking the codes to prevent these dirty men to resell the stolen products..
Typical corrupt politicians.

No, we had extremely minimal damage from Harvey here in Austin.
It's just typical traffic around here these days.
Yesterday morning it took me 55 mins. to make my 15 mile commute from our home to the office. :bored:
Sooo much fuuuuunnnnnnn!!!!! :joyfull:  ;)
That gyroplane may help you out with the traffic.;)

@donaldtoo , I noticed just how neat the store looked, but then I took a second look and realized that there were no customers in there to mess it up! ;)

Hahaaa...!
Although, I wish it was busier for him, too, yes, those times in that mall on Tues. and Wed. nights just are pretty much dead...so, bring in the old dead guy whenever possible...!!! :hilarious: (although he did say he has less customers, but they are making larger purchases).
But, seriously, he's a great guy and gave me a job when we really needed it, along with the other 2 jobs I had to work at the time, I needed to keep us in the black. He came to me, and I will always appreciate him for that. He's not trying to become a millionaire, he's just trying to make a good, honest living.
I will always help him out, any time I can...!!!
