Just got done with lunch at Homecoming. Art Smith was here I didn't get a picture with him but if him it is on the other camera. I did order these and took them all down. And I'm not ashamed.

They look awesome, and I would have snarffed those puppies down...!!! :hungry:
And, I love the cute little half dozen egg-looking dish they're served in...! :)

That's beyond awesome:joyfull: When we checked into it it was about 15 years ago and so much has changed since then. I'd be open to it now if he wanted a dog but he has his heart set on a cat. He was very close to ours who with no training seemed to know how to calm him down. Maybe it's a good thing we're currently petless with James going to high school and having signed up for what seems like everything and now he's talking about track in the spring:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: I was hoping he'd at least think about dropping one activity. It's hard enough getting his brother to bowling:banghead:

It is rough balancing all that. 95% fell on me to get them to where they needed to be. But in high school it is so hard to balance all those activities and do well in school. Our District gave every coach, director etc a list each week with participants that slipped in any given course. Or if they didn't maintain minimum C average they were benched until the grades perked up.

We probably had Agent Orange in our water directly... maybe why it was yellowish. I said it wasn't an endorsement, just a real situation and how the event turned out... at least so far.

We had two Vets on my immediate road that were Vietnam Vets that passed in the last few months. One I knew better than the other, he was soooo messed up. I lived a couple properties over fro him he didn't trust or talk to any of us for over 20 years. He took shrap to the face and lost most of his vision. In the last couple of years if he needed help with TV, phone or anything in his home he'd walk the sidewalk screaming for someone to help him. One day he leaped in front of my kids car, luckily going slow and stopped to get help. He broke my little heart.

The other one came back from Vietnam so rattled. He was out a long time before we moved there but he couldn't hold a job. So sad. They both saw a lot and both were also exposed to Agent Orange. Took way too long for AO side effects to be shared with the Vets.

I have a friend from a former board I played on that was a prisoner for a short while (one day is too long) and served in the Gulf War. Sounds, nightmares. He too has had a hard time adjusting. He in the last 2 years has made great strides, married and seems to be pulling a life together. He now does it was his companion, his therapy dog.

All of our service people are awesome for what they did and why I believe
America is Great. Be hard to convince me otherwise. You all gave a great deal.

They were really good! And the flight was just fine, we were in first class. I had four cups of coffee, they all might have had baileys in them.

Glad y'all had a great flight! :)
We've only ever flown first class twice, many years ago, by being bumped up to it when SisterIL was a flight attendant for American Airlines. With all the complimentary booze, food, and comfort, it definitely made coach seem like a really fast Greyhound bus in the sky...!!! :hilarious: :D ;) :)

Thanks. Yep, it's been a rough week. He was supposed to come home today, but then got a fever again. He'll feel good one day and then the next, he has a set back. They gave him a walker because he's not strong enough to walk on his own, but they want him to practice with it at home, so now they are waiting until he doesn't have a fever. But all the IVs and such have been removed, so that's a good step.

Oy. Know I am thinking of you and your family and your FIL. How is your DH and MIL holding up? And the kids?

Yup but still can't figure it out,
Our was HP(sauce) and the philosiphers stone . just not sure what yours stands for

Yeah, Philosiphers didn't translate well from English to American so they changed the title. The novel was released in England before America and it took a few years and books to take hold here. They changed the name to help boost sales.

My family moved quite a bit while I was growing up, too. Glad I am not the only one who does a virtual Google "fly by" every now and then.

I guess I lived in a flat a few months, lived in a house in the City 6 years and my folks moved us to Park Ridge when I was almost 7. They never moved after that. I on the other hand moved 5 times in 6 years in my 20's and when we landed here I vowed I was never moving again. The house we were in prior to this one was in Arlington and I didn't even unpack half the misc boxes. I knew I wasn't staying for very long. We needed to make a move for work but I really didn't like the house and things were goofy cause of high interest rates around 14%. It was about 16 months and I found a home I liked and interest rates dropped to 9%. A year after we bought this house the rates dropped more and we went from a 30 year to a 15 year refi and my payment was less than the 30 year. I paid it off in 12. Amen. After so many moves in short order I really really really hate moving, still.
