Lucky.

I'm basically preparing for the fact that I will go grey at some point. My dad is salt and peppered, and my mom would be completely grey if she didn't get highlights and low lights done. She showed me her roots one time when she had to wait to get her coloring done...oy. Thankfully neither of them went grey super early; my mom started after she had kids, Dad started going grey at around 40 but it's taken him a long time, so I've got a good 15 years yet. Hopefully.
My mom was completely grey by her late 20's. I didn't really start until about 5 years ago.
Hmmmmm ... coincidence?

My mom says she plucked one grey hair out when she was in her 20s.

Then after she had me, in her 30s, she had gotten some more grey and was getting highlights.

It got worse after she had my brother. Now she is two years older than you and is mostly grey. She says its my fault. I blame my brother. She said she worries about me more than she worries about him (she says it's because I'm the oldest, it's different. I cough, she wonders what's wrong. My brother coughs, she assumes he's got a cold). I'm hoping I'm more like my dad. He's almost 55 and didn't start going grey until he was in his 40s. He's still not completely grey. Of course he doesn't have that much hair, but still.

I found my first gray hair at 19, just like my mom. Difference was, she had black hair and I was blond like my pop. Funnier yet, my 76 year old moms hair is still salt and pepper, and mine's as white as the wind-driven snow...!!! :joyfull: :D :)

its always interesting how genetics work.
I have cousins who started to get all gray by their 30's.
Others who have lost almost all their hair by his mid 20's.
Others who have no issues with brown hair up to their 40's... or no baldness.

You guys are all over our news. As much snow as we have had it is nothing like what you have received. We were like that last year. I like when others come to the aid of others. Nice of NY. Will you get to stay home again?

Yup, once again, I am home today. (The only down side of not going in, is that is our pay is pulled from our vacation stash, but whatever. I have a lot of vacation time banked up.) Anyway, because it's snow, it's still like vacation for me as I get to go out and shovel and enjoy the snow. Also, I've been doing some of those pesky home projects like sorting through paper piles, shredding what I don't need, etc. and knocking out of those types of tasks. Later on, I'll wash the kitchen floor.

Yes, it is good that other states have offered their assistance as well. New York really took the lead on this, and they've now even lent some of their snow plow machines for the train tracks, to supplement what the MBTA here is using as well. :)

Being a natural redhead, I don't grey. I'm just starting to have a little white mixed in which actually looks pretty cool. There's one redhead born in every generation of our family for as far back as anyone can remember and none have gone grey. :)

My two brothers were redheads: one was carrot red, and the other was more auburn. My sister and I were blondish-brown. My parents had black hair. We figure all the babies got mixed up in the hospital every time my mother gave birth. None of us even look alike either. But since we all ended up under the same roof, we all played along . . . :hilarious:

5:39 AM now--you have one minute to wake up!
I was up at 3:55. Still up.
Son #2 started at 5:30 - not 5:00; so I was up half an hour early unnecessarily.

Adopted Son broke his phone last night, so he didn't know if he was getting picked up at 6:15 or not. Buddy didn't come, so now I get to drive him at 7:10. No sense going back to bed.

I am sooooooo tired. I decided to let Hubby off the hook, as he was in an out of town tournament all weekend (got bronze!), and he was up and out early both days.
But tomorrow ... he can do it all. I am taking the day off!

All of my sisters are blond blue eyed then there's me. I definitely am not the milkman's daughter though. I look exactly to the tee like my dad's mom. :)
