My day! While I am extremely aware of how much worse things can be, let me share my day so far. It started last night really, I was working and during my lunch break I had a Granola Bar.. Healthy stuff right? From now on anything even remotely healthy will be avoided.

Anyway I bite into it and hear this cracking sound and a little pain. Didn't think much of it, it thought that whatever I bit is what made the noise, but as the rest of the evening progressed my mouth started to ache. By the time I got home, it took some heavy duty meds to even get a little sleep. So this morning instead of calling for an appointment I went to my Dentists office. They took me right in. Result of that healthy granola bar was a split tooth front to back and all the way into the root. End result of that was another tooth extraction (I'm starting to become a stereotypical redneck) and a bone graft in the event I want an implant. It's another molar as well, so soon, pudding will be the main course for me.

Speaking of Meds., I was given Oxycontin for something else, and they said I could use it for this as well. Sorry, but, I have no idea why it is such a controlled drug. I hate the way it makes me feel. I feel like I'm in a drunken stuper. I don't want to walk, I just want to sit in a chair and stare ahead. It isn't a good feeling, just a helpless one. I hate that feeling, so as of tonight I am off the hard stuff and sticking with the less potent stuff like Aleve. Haven't even had any of that yet. I just lost the matching molar on the other side last January.
As this is something I have a background in, I can tell you that advil works the best for mouth pain. Don't know if you are allowed to take it though. If you are on some medications you cannot take it. 4 is prescription strength.

I don't know why I was surprised @donaldtoo road travel would be 22 hours, more than even us. 18-19 hours, no traffic, no stops. :arghh: I haven't driven to Orlando since my late teens. With vacation day allotments it just never worked for us.

Actually the farthest I've ever driven is Cleveland once (fly now) as that is where my Sis went to law school that stayed put and before that to Cincinnati area as she went to school in Oxford Ohio. In reality by the time I drive to an airport, arrive 2 hours early, encounter delays, land and commute to her, likely there isn't much of time difference between driving and flying-in flight time just a tad over an hour. :banghead: Flying isn't as simple as it once was.
I was confused by @donaldtoo 's driving time. It is 1127 miles from Austin to DW. There must be an awful lot of traffic down there or multiple stops are included in his drive estimate. Is there a giant ball of yarn off route 10, or a humongous plastic dinosaur that begs stopping and gawking?;)

That doesn't sound fun! But why couldn't they give you prescription grade ibuprofen or something? Those meds sound horrible!
To be honest, it was my choice. I had those available and didn't need to purchase another prescription, so I asked if it was OK to use that. I never used them for the original purpose which I think was the Kidney Stone, so why not use what was available if they thought it was OK. I had taken one before, a few months back, and had no side effect. This time it hit me big time. I haven't taken one since 7am yesterday and even though I'm feeling better, I can still feel some of the grogginess and lethargic feeling this morning. That is some strong stuff.

Sympathy like but they are not healthy! Granola bars for the most part are full of sticky sugar, sometimes even HFCS:hungover: so it's no wonder they caused a problem. Kale is your friend:D
I agree on the granola bar part. Most likely though the tooth had a huge old filling in it that was never replaced and probably had some decay around it. It may have needed a crown a while back. Either that or it was root canaled and never had a crown placed afterwards.

Didn't you hear? Riding BTMR in the last row will knock those kidney stones right out!:D

I had a problem about two months ago. A minor ache in that area and I went in to see them and was told that it was TMJ. Since that time the aching left but it was a little sensitive on that side of my tooth. I think that the crack had existed back then but was to small to see. This time whatever I bit into, finished the job. That tooth never had a filling.

Then yes, the fracture just increased over time. They are hard to diagnose since they are hard to spot on an x-ray. In any case, hope you are feeling better today. :)

THNX for sharing. Now I have to find one and then try and find time when we all have nothing scheduled.
Good luck! Google should be able to find one in your area. We just googled escape room Nederland and it came up with a bunch. And after we did the Indiana Jones one, we thought an HP one would be awesome. So we googled Harry Potter Escape Room Nederland and it came up with this one. We're going to look for a star wars one for DS's birthday this year. Every year we have a really hard time finding kids who will come to his birthday party. So instead of a party this year, we'll do an escape room with the family. Then we don't have to go through trying to find "friends" to come. And then I don't have to bake and scrub the house and make invitations, etc. No muss no fuss and it's fun for the whole family.

We prefer doing stuff with our kids on their birthdays also. We have done some home parties and gym parties but everyone prefers to do a family activity together. Just found out that not 3 miles from our house is a new escape room place. And they have a pickleball court. So we will take advantage of that this summer. :)

damn, bad luck! :(

Hope the storm doesnt hit and you can see ROL.

Did you ride Flight of Passage?
We did ride the Flight of Passage, during the preview. It's the best ride in Disney. I was able to see 3 D with the new kind of prism like lenses in the glasses. Hubby rode too. He had to close his eyes to keep his food down. I loved it and hope to ride again next year. We did get to see River's of Light. It's a really nice show.

I had an issue one day back in September. It was the 2nd day of F&W hot, humid full sun. You'd go outside and my lungs just seemed to reject the humidity, so not conditioned to the humidity and over the 90+ degrees. We were in line to go up to the Chase Lounge, (I still shake my head at queuing up to go into a lounge of a bank of mine that use to have sufficient space for guests but a different rant) and I had to leave my family. It was about noon sun overhead, humid and feeling badly in an area not unlike most of the world showcase, no shade, (trees cut down, another rant yet again) and I knew I needed to bail or else...I left the family and went to the American Pavilion and listened to the Choir singers and saw the performance which I had seen the night before during the rain storm from h*ll (it was raining both inside space ship earth and the land attractions, we were getting wet another rant) but I needed to equalize my body temp. If nothing else over the years of touring Disney I've learned one thing, ya gotta listen to what your body is telling you.

So I feel for you woman. It isn't so much the heat it is the humidity that I wish my body conformed more to. Be well and have a margarita for me and possibly a Dad's Electric Lemonade from Prime Time or its Lounge (they do take outs)
I enjoyed the margarita at Planet Hollywood, a regular margarita.....not the fruit juice kind. I can't drink a lot of citrus juices...
