Too funny....that's almost exactly what my almost 11 year old daughter said...they are annoying and they are SUPPOSED to help with concentration, but kids don't use them the right way and instead they drive her nuts. She has no desire for one. Guess THAT'S out as an option for her birthday present. I asked her what they were because I saw a few kids with them and she just rolled her eyes and went on a rant. It was so funny. They spin and are super annoying. Some even make a slight whirl noise. All the boys in my class seem to have one and I don't mind if they use them and they don't distract anyone. But of course I work with middle schoolers and they don't always use things appropriately. I have taken a few away. The purpose is supposed to give ADHD kids something to help them focus but even my ADHD kids just get distracted by them.
