They spin and are super annoying. Some even make a slight whirl noise. All the boys in my class seem to have one and I don't mind if they use them and they don't distract anyone. But of course I work with middle schoolers and they don't always use things appropriately. I have taken a few away. The purpose is supposed to give ADHD kids something to help them focus but even my ADHD kids just get distracted by them.
Too funny....that's almost exactly what my almost 11 year old daughter said...they are annoying and they are SUPPOSED to help with concentration, but kids don't use them the right way and instead they drive her nuts. She has no desire for one. Guess THAT'S out as an option for her birthday present. :hilarious: I asked her what they were because I saw a few kids with them and she just rolled her eyes and went on a rant. It was so funny.

Seriously Big Bang Theory? Seriously leaving me hanging like that?
Which season are you watching? We didn't have it over here for the longest time, and it's not on Netflix. By the time I saw it here, I have no idea what season they were showing, but as much as I loved the humor, I didn't want to watch it because I want to start from the beginning. So that's my Mother's Day present.

Yep, love my real books sooo much!!! :)
But, then again, I don't have a Kindle, e-reader, etc.
That EPCOT book I ordered recently from Amazon just reminded me again of how much I love the real books...as mentioned before, holding it, flipping through the pages, the wonderful smell of those pages...!!! :inlove: :)
I had to laugh at this...I forgot we had been having a discussion about paper vs. e books and to me, as a musician, a "real book" is a book of Jazz music and my immediate thought when you said you loved your real books was "Oh! I didn't know he was a jazz musician! I wonder what instrument. How did I miss this conversation?" and then I read further and felt really stupid. Duh!

With all this talk of Basin I'm going to make sure to take a good long soak sometime next week. I'm really beginning to hate weekends. Today my dh is going to come home and go straight to bed because we have to go out tonight and lucky him he gets to duck out early to go to work. I get to get up tomorrow at my regular time due to a kid thing and I know something is written on the calendar for Sunday.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: Basin take me away
