Yeah I wondered that. Reminds me when I went to COR during the presidents weekend rush. COR had like 6 staff ready to assist you and there were like 20 spots for them to work on.
Yet the line was getting longer and longer.
Funny thing, my first time at POR wasnt that bad, 90% of the staff spots were filled with staff and the lined moved pretty quickly.
I will never understand the mentality of "lol they're trapped with us, why waste money on better staff".
I would have responded " they cant keep demand, you;re losing money because people cannot get in to buy or order stuff they want".

Although I totally get your point, your post actually kinda' reminds me of a "Yogi" Berra-ism (in case you're not familiar, Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra was a very famous American baseball player and manager from back in the day, that was famous for these types of statements), such as ..."Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded."...!!!!! :hilarious:

Again, not a cut at you at all, I agree with you...
your post just reminded me of this...! :)

Thanks for the Anniversary wishes everyone. It's a low key day today. Not much happening. Looking forward to watching the musical episode of Once Upon A Time.
THNX I watched the GH episode you suggested. If you remember let me know when the Nurse's Ball is. Now I have to ketchup with UOAT at some point:hilarious:

Hey guys! I am thinking of building a boat or ark or something. We have had almost 6 inches of rain since Saturday. Everything is water-logged. Just finished vac the basement where it was running in at the garage door. We are in a flood warning but it won't flood around my house. We are too high up. Hoping the sun shines tomorrow and dries us out. One good thing--no more drought!!:)

Sympathy like, but, yay for no more drought...we know the feeling...! ;) :)

And, you obviously have no idea how many of us don't purposely eat dandelions...!!! :hilarious: JK, LOL, and all that jazz...! ;)
Although, I do admit to chewing on sweet clover many times as a kiddo...! :D

When I was a kid, my brothers and I would sneak into the neighbor's yard, and eat chives right out of his garden! We thought they were delicious. :hungry:

I recall one Saturday morning when the neighbor was outside, and he was chatting with my father. Heard him mention that there must be rabbits or groundhogs in the area, because some animal kept eating his chives! :hilarious: :hilarious:

I finally got to take my daughter to Beauty and the Beast today. I promised her before it came out in theaters here, but then it came out the day after my dad died, so we were in an airplane headed for the US. So I finally took her today and we both loved it. I was worried that Emma's singing would bother me, but it really didn't. She was so much better than I expected based on comments, and I think it kind of fit. Belle is not supposed to be a singer, she's a bookworm. So it was really nice and it was so great to spend time with my daughter. We haven't told the kids about our upcoming trip to DLP yet...it will be a fun surprise.

If I never have to wear a fancy dress and heels again I'd be a happy camper. At least I don't have do it again until Friday:facepalm::bawling::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I don't mind wearing dresses. Now that shopping for a dress I could do without. That is harder than finding blue jeans to fit correctly.

I now either wear or plop in a purse my Michael Kors ballerina slippers shoes. The price was enough to gag anyone but no regrets. Similar to these, softest glove type leather, thick padding inside and rubber-ish bottoms. Luv Luve

Yesterday day hubby and I had a day of fun. We spent the morning at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. We had a lot of fun looking at all the blooming plants. We went specifically to see the tulips but also walked a couple of trails as well. The arboretum plants over 32,000 tulip bulbs in the fall, so we were really looking forward to the spring bloom. We were not disappointed. Here are a few pictures of the beauty we saw.

Parks & Resorts just seems to keep peeing on their own shoes over and over again.
It seems there is too much "Hey! I've got a great idea!!!" without proper vetting of those ideas before implementation. They're all over the place. They just seem to keep making visiting the Parks (especially WDW) more and more difficult planning-wise, mostly for first time Guests and less frequent Guests. I get the need to try new things and advance (Walt himself was all about that), but, more careful thought, planning, and implementation seems to be in order.
And yes, I get that getting rid of things like the ticket books of old made things easier on everyone. Now, they just seem to be constantly recomplicating things in the name of simplifying them, and too often failing, in order to increase the bottom line.
It seems like, way back when, it was about giving guests an actual great value to increase the bottom line. Now, it seems like it's more about falling all over themselves to hoodwink the Guests into thinking they're getting a great deal to increase the bottom line. :cyclops:

I agree, it is getting difficult to plan even the basic. You know me I had been known to jump on a plane in under a week and be gone. I miss not having to have a strategy that was more than which days for Uni and which days for WDW.

I birdie told me I'd should focus on room discounts this year over free dining, not only because of the cut backs but because of the $$$ overall value, while we all knew we were 'paying' for free dining it was a nice perk for an upgrade from standard room to minimum garden room plus park passes.

I just didn't really expect the discount (so far as some get better) to make that big of a difference. That goes to your thoughts of newbies understandably don't get it as see 'free' Blahhhh I feel bad for them.
