GO SEAHAWKS! :D

Go PUPPIES!!! Puppy Bowl XI on right now on Animal Planet. So far, Chicklet is my favorite and she's an Australian Shepherd mix, and scored one of the first touchdown on the field. I might vote for her as MVP (Most Valuable Puppy). There's more game action ahead, so I'll wait and see who the other players are first. They have a voting site on Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl pages. :p

We have a Hamilton Beach two-in-one. It has one side for individual cups and one for up to 12 cups. I only drink one cup, when I drink coffee, so having that single serving side is great. My daughter drinks coffee or tea all the time so the other side is for her use. We like to grind our own coffee, so those Kerig type coffee makers aren't for us. We've had this one a little over a year with no problems at all.

Thank you for your input on this. Two years ago, I had a (single serve) Hamilton Beach, and that one croaked on me after 5 months. I bought a Keurig after that for single cup use. It sounds like the different Hamilton Beach model you have has turned out to be decent. That's good to know. My guess is that it's probably too wide for the small counter space I have though, and just this a.m. I bought a Krups to replace the Cuisinart. Still, it's helpful to hear about other people's experiences with different coffee makers. I'm making a mental note of all the suggestions.

Just got a call from one of my cohorts at work. Supervisors told our office staff to stay home tomorrow, because we're supposed to get another 12-18 inches of snow starting around 2 AM straight through tomorrow night. (If by any chance, the storm blows by us, I'll go in, but the forecast seems to be definite.) After the last storm, a few people were stranded at work for a few days, because they couldn't get home, so the bosses are being very careful now to watch out for us.

You may have noticed that I have stayed out of the SuperBowl discussions.
a) I don't watch football
b) I know nothing about either team playing
c) Some of y'all are pretty entrenched, and I don't want to offend anybody.

I'll leave the "offending" job to @Goofyernmost. :hilarious:
second. I honestly only watch the game to watch the tackles lol.
for me, that sport is and will always be "handegg".

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Also, its raining again.. its been raining nonstop for 2 hours.. including 1 hour of VERY HARD RAIN. (it also as been softly raining since 7:00 am)

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???
As long as I am hunkered down and don't have to go out in it, I love rain!
Given where you are, I'm pretty sure the sun will come out tomorrow.

Two weeks ago, I bought a brand new ($100) coffee maker (a 12-cup one, not a single serve like Keurig) from a high-end brand, that I've used in the past as well. I had one dud a few years ago, but this one broke after using it two times! I'm taking it back to the store tomorrow. Been reading online reviews of many different brands (in various price ranges) and none are stellar. Are there any decent brands of coffee makers out there anymore?
I don't drink coffee (can't stand the smell; the taste is worse), but my dad has had several Gevalia coffee makers over the years. They last a long time. He's got a two cup serve one that I know he's had since I was in middle school (I know because I use it to make tea) and the full pot one I know he's had for several years. I don't think you can get Gevalia coffee makers from anywhere but their website, though.
