Don't you sometimes wonder if 'someone' doesn't do stuff like this on purpose just to see if anyone notices? Cheap trills. Hard to believe all day long nobody picked the laptop up and put it back on the desk.

I thought exactly the same thing. I wonder sometimes if a CM gets bored, and they do stuff like this to break the monotony of working at the same attraction, day in and day out.

Yum! (well not the brussel sprouts) But that steak and mashed potatoes! :hungry:
Ever try them roasted? They are delicious. :hungry: They need to be roasted with just a little salt until the outsides are golden brown. Taste like baked potatoes to me. The outside leaves then are all crunchy too. This is coming from someone who hated them as a kid. My mom would boil them. Totally the wrong way to make them.

or Viewmasters? I had one each of disc of Disneyland and Disney World

Or
houses that had antennas on their roofs?

Or going to a drive-in movie?

Or the true meaning of a cash register...before items were scanned by cashiers and actually rung-up?

Or remember playing Jacks before they were deemed a choking hazard?

I remember all of these things. We still have a drive-in near us. The bugs can be a bit of a pain though.

I can't stand the taste of cooked cabbage and that's really what they are. I've thought about roasting them but then I thought I would just save my money. ;)

Some younger folks are using them as well now--with a number of people choosing over-the-air signals (instead of getting cable or satellite, at least for their local programming). They're making some decent indoor antennas as well now for those purposes; but I read that in some cases (depending upon where you live), a rooftop antenna may be an even better choice.

I have an indoor antenna for our local stations, and it works well. Again, it depends upon where you live in relation to the over-the-air signals. We bought the antenna as a backup, for when a bad storm goes through and interferes/knocks out the satellite. With over-the-air, which is also free, we can at least get our local stations, despite the weather. Also, the over-the-air signals are in HD. :)
Don't you need a digital converter to use an antenna these days?

I remember a few months ago @ tuvalu
Overhearing CM talking in queue saying she loved telling guests NO when requesting the center section. Turned out that day the center section was not operable but had fun nonetheless instead just say NO.

Note to self never take one of those silly on line quizzes again! One said I was 100% nerdy and the other called me an insufferable know it all about Potter(I got the reference) :hilarious: I'm well rounded aren't I?
Yes you are quite diverse. Reminds me of the stupid tests we took in elementary school to guide us to educational "paths". Mine always always came up as a mechanical engineer. Ha! I would have put my head through a wall.
sigh, I really miss a decent steak.
They arent very good here (unless you want to pay a fortune). I think our local Outback is one of the very few that makes.. sorta decent cuts with no killing your wallet.
there were 16 of us. I was not the one paying it was my two cousins. My steak was $56. Sprouts $13. Mashed potatoes $10. My shrimp and crab cakes were pre ordered before I arrived huge shrimp appetizers. Crab Cakes meh $45. One glass of wine $15. I skipped dessert. So me alone $145 and some had salad, dessert and far more to drink. And times sixteen people and a 20% tip. A very nice trip to Disney he could have had. OMG!!!!

Hello, everyone. Got the daughter and two boys, signed up for their apartment. After an 11 hour day...yesterday the kids house sold, it took 28 showings, with people out bidding each other. I guess houses are selling like crazy. The grandson's, were told last night about the divorce. The oldest took it really hard, the youngest is a go with the flow kind of kid. I expected it to turn out this way. So we all went to top golf this morning to celebrate the SIL birthday. We meet back to go to lunch. SIL got a phone call from his dad...his mom is in the hospital with a small intestine blockage. So, it goes on. Hey, @figmentfan423 I hope you leg is doing better. That's the update. My heart hurts so much for the oldest grandson. :bawling: Will try to do ketchup this evening....I hope!
Sympathy--well can't even use the like. How lucky he is to have you to talk to and look out for him when he needs it. The younger one who seems to go with the flow, he might need you a little later when it all hits him. Pixie dust for you all.

We were first introduced to McD's when we moved to No Cal in '68. I remember the Big Mac had just come out nationwide.
By far and away, the majority of our meals were home cooked by mom, but, we were treated pretty often as well. I've already mentioned Shakey's Pizza, and McD's, but, another place I have good memories of is Burger Pit...everything (they had steaks as well) was charbroiled, and the place always smelled sooo good...! :hungry:
I don't remember doing any cafeteria places 'til we moved back to Texas. Furr's and Luby's. And, again, it wasn't very often, as most of our meals were still homemade.
And, of course, we went to the occasional BBQ and Tex-Mex places...! :hungry: ;) :)

McD's and Burger Pit as I remember the style of those places way back when... :)

I remember when we were little and got to go out we had two "chain" options in town, A&W and Red Barn. We didn't get a McD's near us until about 1979.

We had an A&W a couple of towns over(most towns near me weren't very big so about a 10 minute drive), never heard of Red Barn and we had both a Mc Donald's and Burger King but hardly ever went to either. We mostly went to mom and pop places:joyfull:
