Soooo feeling like crap and being homebound except physical therapy for awhile, my best friends surprised me with a huge get well present.
An eight day Caribbean cruise with some time in Miami next year! My daughter and I are so excited.

I like the idea of renting out space to bring in more people to save a store. I've gone into a JCP just for a Sephora item and wound up buying a shirt or something else. It saved me a trip elsewhere![]()
I kind of wish we had that policy in the middle school too. Usually it is the parents of kids that are doing just fine that show up to the conferences, so in the end the conference is pretty short and anti-climatic. Although one time I had a parent show up at the conference and they didn't want to talk about their kid at all (he was getting A's), she just wanted to pick my brain about Disney!![]()
I'm sure it will be strange having your youngest in high school. My niece is going into 7th grade next year and I still think she should just be in 1st grade! Time goes too fast sometimes.
It sounds like perfect February weather to me. It is 17 degrees right now, I think we will get up to 30 today. At least it is sunny here, it hopefully will melt some of the snow we got yesterday. I think I might brave the chill and take the dog for a walk today. She pouted a bit yesterday when she didn't get a walk. The only good part of the snow (besides having a snow day/day off work) was watching her play in the snow.
Here is a picture my husband took of her as she came in at one point yesterday.

I can empathize. I deep cleaned the bathroom last weekend. Deep cleaning like that is something I do only a few times a year. The tiles in the bathtub area were glistening!!
So . . . what does hubs decide to do last night? He decides to give the dog a bath!
He hadn't given Jack a bath for weeks, and he decides last night to do this?!

Now, Jack doesn't like getting a bath to begin with, and when he does get one, it's WAR up there in the bathroom, between him and hubs -- and they both create a huge mess, not to mention, make a ton of noise. Water is all over the wet floors, black dog hair in tub, tile walls, and on the towels (yes, hubs uses OUR clean, fluffy towels to dry the DOG . . .Heaven forbid, he uses the older towels that I keep only as a backup, in the linen closet.)

it depends on which angle you see his movies. His movies are incredible advancements of special effects.I know the numbers will overrule me but James Cameron is way overrated.
Kapono loves the snow, too!
We haven't figured out yet if Jack likes snow, because he acts indifferent, and away off on his own planet (Pluto?). Sometimes we wonder if he's even aware that he's out in it.
He gets so self-absorbed at times, that he can tune out the world around him--he snaps out of it, if food is within smelling distance . . .

I just spent some glorious time hiding in my basement. A tornado warning was issued but thankfully nothing came of it. I grabbed my boys and my sewing machine and ran down.
Yes she likes snow sometimes, I have mentioned she is a little quirky. But she likes warm weather better because she loves going out in her yard to the hammock with me. Warm weather also means walks and time on the porch.
I know because she told me.

Not exactly. James grabbed his cell phone and my older ds his ps4. We all have our priorities
Good morning Mother Nature has some serious issues. Yesterday it got near 70 and this morning I woke up, it was in the 20s with a light fresh coating of carpTonight's dinner groundhog wellington with asparagus (with hollanaise sp?) and what ever bottle of good red wine I can get while out running errands. I need to go to Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James has gotta keep in touch with his female aquaintances no matter the situationNot exactly. James grabbed his cell phone and my older ds his ps4. We all have our priorities
Once again you're blaming poor Jack for something out of his controlI can empathize. I deep cleaned the bathroom last weekend. Deep cleaning like that is something I do only a few times a year. The tiles in the bathtub area were glistening!!
