Just got back from Friday Funday Movie Time! :)
The movie (Fist Fight) was funny enough, but, I wouldn't pay to see it. But, since the firm covered eveything (including beer and wine, and the 2 hours of Half-day Friday work we missed) ya' can't pass that up..!!! :)

I want your job:D

A lot of people think they do...! ;)
But, we've also had 5 employees leave within' the last year and a half. All 5 couldn't handle the stress. 2 went to other firms where they felt it wouldn't be quite as intense, and the other 3 decided to get out of architecture altogether and pursue other endeavors. Of those 3, two had 5 year architectural degrees, and one had a masters degree.
It has it's perks, but, it definitely ain't no cake walk, either. :cyclops: ;)

Sure, let's trade for a while.
It's a moot point, 'cause I could no more do your job than you could do mine. Your job keeps your home and family functioning smoothly so your hubby can go out and earn a paycheck for y'all to pay the bills, etc. My parents did the same thing, and neither had a problem with their roles. They were a team, and they worked together well. But, also, pop didn't just come home from work and plop his behind in a chair and ask for a martini. He went to night school to advance his career, and I remember him doin' car repairs himself in the garage late at night many times, plus much other home maintenance that needed to be done, not to mention weekend projects, as well as coaching all 4 of us at various times in sports, and also working together on various things around the house. Both my parents are amazingly hard workers, even to this day in their late '70's and mid '80's.
DWifey and I have been doing it a bit different. We both have full-time jobs that earn paychecks, but, we still also work together, or separately, on various things around the house that need to be done to keep things in order.
Also, she could no more do my job than I could do hers. We both pull our weight.
Bottom line, it sounds to me like we all work hard no matter what our jobs entail.
Whatever arrangement works for anyone's particular family varies greatly, but, ultimately, makin' it work is the most important part...! :)

Believe me, Figgy, I know you work your tail off and put all your efforts for your family first (granted, that's not always the way it is with both spouses in some family dynamics). No doubt. It sure doesn't hurt that you have chosen a more healthy lifestyle in recent years and have the energy of 10 Energizer Bunnies...!!! :hilarious: ;)
But, you are taking care of yourself so you can take care of them...!
Along with oldest DD (who has also returned to full vegan), you have inspired me to try to eat healthier, and I've lost a few more pounds. :)
Although some of the food pics I post don't really look like it, I usually only post the more decadent ones, and not the healthier stuff I'm eating lately, mostly during the week...I should do that...! :)

ETA...
Plus, I really do enjoy all your posts about how busy you are with eveything you do. From cooking to sewing to motivating your 2 eating machines...errr  ;)...sons, etc., so please don't stop. There is some great humor there, too...! :)
