Also, with the climate down here, almost every single home we design has an outdoor living/dining/summer kitchen setup, because folks like to do a lot of entertaining outside.
Also, we're designing more and more home theaters where folks also like to entertain their guests as well as having dinner served during the movie.
Thus, formal dining rooms, and even formal living rooms, are just hardly ever requested to be included in most of our home designs, anymore.

Have you ever had pumpkin pecan pie? I'm not a fan of pecans, so I don't like it, but my mom always made it at Thanksgiving because she wasn't a huge fan of pumpkin pie, nor of pecan pie, but the combination was something she and my brother both loved.

I think she is, thanks! She seems ok anyway. Monday she was SUPER pale, but I was working and as she didn't have a fever, I had her go to school and told her she could call if she really felt cruddy. But she didn't. And yesterday she had to have a talk with her history project group about the work distribution because 2 of the girls didn't do their parts and wanted DD and the other girl to give them theirs. So they had to work that out, so she had to be there. So I let her stay home today to rest and unwind. She seems much better for it! She puts tremendous pressure on herself and gets so stressed that she can't sleep and she gets headaches.
But...but....if it's 100, you can't crawl in bed with a heated mattress cover and snuggle up in the blankets with a good book!Minnie, you are nuts.
At least if it's 100, you can jump in a pool. On the rare ocassions when it gets to zero here, I can't seem to get warm even in the house.

My mom has a sturdy tree that rotates. Yesterday her baby cat decided to grab ahold of a lower branch with its teeth and was being dragged around in a slow circle. Then it decided the lowest branches were a good backscratcher. Silly cat.He's not interested in the tree at all. When I was decorating it on Sunday, he just sat there and stared with an odd look on his face. Then he walked away after a while. Must have chalked it up to stupid human activity.
