Laugh if you will, but, I don't have to buy batteries every few days. Abacus rules! You sure you do not need an abacus to make sure the count is right?
That's not necessarily true. It depends on the relationship you had through out their lives. Yes, there will be a brief time when they are in the process of setting up their own lives, but, they never really break the bond. I play golf with one of my Son in Laws and he jokes about, but, I know that there is a certain amount of truth to it, that he would rather explain to her about having an affair then to try and tell her that he did something to injure me. We are closer now then ever and it is wonderfully on an adult level. I love every minute I get to spend with them. I feel loved and I know that they do as well and they are in their 40's now. It does take effort on "dad's' part, but, that mostly means just being there for them at anytime or anyplace. They don't need you in the old way, but, emotionally, wow, what a trip that is.Oh yes, I keep reminding myself she wont eant anything to do with dear ol' dad in a few years. Better get in my snuggles while I can!. Thank you!
Just love that picture of her. Priceless. Walt was allowed on my bed but not the furniture throughout the house. He would take the pillows off the sofa for his head on the floor. Use his dog bed as a pillow, take throw blankets and dig up as an alternative bed. Our pups sure know how to make themselves comfy.
DH got out of bed slid to the car, came back in and went back to bed. I have to wake him up later so he can call in, that is if they don't close. There's now 8 inches of snow with a mix of snow and ice now coming down![]()
Ha!! How did you not laugh at that? And why did he/she need a lawyer? My brother wanted to "borrow" $750 from me just before DH and I got married. He says "I know you have money set aside for your wedding. Can you lend it to me and I'll pay you back when I have it?" Which, "when I have it" in his language is "Quarter to never"...I lied. I told him I didn't have anything set aside because I paid for things as we booked them. Is that mean?
Exactly...I love him, but I don't TRUST him. But his husband is AWESOME...I love his hubby to bits. And of course my niece...because she is the most adorable niece on the planet.
Line from deathly HallowsWasnt Albus in his 170's ? *edit* wrong.. the harrypotterpedia says 115.
He probably would have lived many years if it wasnt for his sort of suicidal relation with Snape.
tomorrow is another day. I think I know what my next get stuck inside all day movie may be.
James has several years of perfect attendance and today was supposed to be chorus rehearsal , he's 14 and male in chorus. (male to female rehearsal)Ugh, you got a lot more than us. I think we got a total of 7 inches, but it was all yesterday so we had school today. You might want to get those boys checked out...most kids (and teachers) are happy for a snow day not upset.![]()
Not old by any means! classic is classic. That book was required reading in one of my grammer school classesI used the "tomorrow is another day" quote today in one of my classes. None of the kids knew what it referenced, I felt a little old.

That's a beautiful picture and yet all I see is the need is for more fencing to protect my plants
astronauts.nasa.gov James has it bookmarkedRight there with you, does going to Mars, take years off our lives. I always heard that you age slower when you get to outer space. What a way to go. Where do we volunteer?![]()
THNX I'm up long enough to have oneYou deserve that glass of wine, make it a big one for me! I need pain relief through the computer, so I don't over indulge!![]()
I don't mind. With the holiday season being so busy that's the only way I can catch some of them.
he's quite serious about school. i think I've mentioned this before but when he broke his arm in 2 places and needed surgery to have it set it he was out of the hospital after midnight and tried to sneak into class while we were picking up his work the next morning about the same time school opened (it happened at school so all his teachers had his work ready first thing the next morning) that was after trying to sneak onto the bus. The principal printed up a special award for him at the end of the yearWow perfect attendance, that is quite commendable.
True, as long as having to wear spiked shoes so you don't slip, fall, break a hip and die is what one would define as fun, I'm on board!![]()
It's just an oversized duffle bag, overstuffed!
Last night I decided to pack chestnuts since we'll have a kitchen at Saratoga, and our little Charlie Brown Christmas tree with one Mickey ornament to decorate the room.
I think this is the closest we've been to Christmas, although sometimes we go for Brian's birthday around December 3 and or the second week of January. Often it can get pretty chilly, but the forecast is showing 80° during the day and the low 60s at night. Yay! it will be really nice if that holds up.
Dear Santa,
I would like a season change this year for Christmas like you gave us in
1981 where it was in the mid 70s and everyone went to Mass without
coats. Wearing shorts and riding my bicycle on Christmas Day would be
the bestest gift.
Thank you.![]()
