In my case.. I always take the dressing code very seriously.
I was appalled to see so many badly dressed at the "Captain's Gala" dinner (formal dinner) at Disney. Considering the mayority were old adults.
But young adults (milenials?) were with awful flowered tshirts, sandals, and shorts.
One even had jogging/gym pants!.

It's almost like the dress code is now only "suggested" versus enforced. My hunch is that they rarely enforce a dress code anymore, except for probably Victoria & Albert's at the GF. My question is, why do they have a dress code for certain restaurants, but then ignore it? Either have a dress code and enforce the rule, or don't have a dress code. I can't stand indecisive management. That drives me batty. (If I had a picture of a bat I'd put it here for emphasis.) :hilarious:

On Buzz, it helps very much to know where the 100,000s are. And the 25,000s. Both help very much.

I know where 4 100,000s are. I only aim for 3 of them. One is too difficult to hit, so I go for the 25,000 in that room. I consider it a failure if I don't max out at least one cannon.

TSM...not as great. I haven't had as much practice since the lines are so long, and my arm tires very quickly. Usually I get around 160,000-170,000. My record is 200,000, only because I rode with my brother that time, and he sometimes just watches and only shoots a little bit, so I had the targets to myself

Aha! Real insider expert game strategies--love it! ;)

Pretty, though.

looks pretty, but must be cold as hell!

Don't chuck a snowball at me for saying this, but I think that's a very pretty picture! :p
It's beautiful but, yes, it's very cold! I don't mind snow sometimes, but I really don't like to be cold. I like snow at Christmas, maybe a little in January...then I'm done. I used to love it, until I had to start driving in it. :) Going to warm up today (if you call 41 warm), so it will be melted by this afternoon.

You would not believe me, but I actually used this.

I had a defective machine (that the vendors refused to fix, claiming there was nothing wrong).
And any heavy usage.. it would freeze or throw errors.
My solution? crank the AC unit to max power and use a "hurricane" floor fan.
It sorta.. worked..

*edit* this one!

You mean like the California Grill?
I remember the spirited complained about how many people refused to dress correctly. And worse with Disney not enforcing.

I was appalled by how people were dressed at Cali Grill when I was there last. I had on a sundress and my husband had on khakis and a nice shirt....nothing crazy. We were totally overdressed, actually looked out of place. Everyone was in t-shirts and shorts, little kids were running around and screaming. They aren't enforcing anything at that place anymore.

Hard to believe at one time it was tie and sport coat required!

I kinda look at Disney as a very casual environment. You must remember I was also a small child through the 60's when anything looks better than what young adults wore back then. It takes so much time away from touring to get on transportation change a family and get back on transportation to go to a TS restaurant especially if it is at a resort. That process could easily take a couple hours so I see why Disney just doesn't care. They want the money not proper attire. How many guests would give up a few hours in transportation and a few hours for dinner out of their vacation day? At Disney I'm pretty comfortable with anyone's attire just so it isn't gross. I'm more concerned with my ADR being close to ontime and choosing what I will choose to eat. I'm not going to fret if the family next to me is in their shorts or tee's. I know Disney has suggested attire for TS but even they know the WDW is not that type of environment.

This just doesn't offend me.

And given baggage restrictions and costs these days I'm glad semi formal dress days are gone. Even the Disney Cruises have loosened their ideals for dinner. My DS dressed for dinner every night meaning dress pants and dress shirt and one formal night of suit and tie. After air travel all that stuff had to be repressed. I really don't want to be doing that so I am glad it is optional.

Considering you can rent formal gear everywhere, its no excuse.
Theres even rental for Cruises too!
