I didn't have an epidural with my DS, should have, it was too late by the times things started to go south. DD, they wanted to use pitocin to make things progress-thus the epidural, my hissy fit didn't work, I didn't want pitocin and I still am certain that if they didn't she would not have wound up in the NIC unit.
I was too far along for an epidural. The head was coming out. Hubby said I almost broke his hand pressing it so hard! His pain was nothing compared to childbirth.

My in-laws live up in the Rockies. Every year they cringe over the thought of forest fire--mostly from careless people. Their house is right in the woods.
I understand, our house was threatened when we first moved here. It was over on the next mountain. Fortunately it was put out. I'll never forget the fear, and the smoke. It took weeks to clear out our lungs.

Thanks, flags for memorial day and 4th of July. I haven't thought further than that!;)
I know kids picks and shovels for labor day....I see I can take this into Christmas. Turkey things for thanksgiving, and pies....this is going to be my fun year! The tree is in the living room. It's on my dining table, and only 5 ft. tall. We had a 7 1/2 ft tall tree last year. It was too heavy for hubby to bring it up from the basement. Much smaller tree, but way more fun.

I love this. I was looking at a cute cupboard, filled with great looking foods. I think I will eat and color! Forgive the food droppings..;););)

Hee hee . . . hubs made pizza tonight and brought me 2 slices, upstairs in our computer room. He goes back downstairs and a certain D O G was pulling a slice off his plate on the kitchen table--I knew this because I heard him yelling at Jack: "You stinking mutt--give me back my pizza!" Then a commotion--Jack comes barreling up the stairs with a whole slice of pizza hanging out of his mouth, and hubs was running up behind him -- yelling at Jack to "Drop IT!!!"

HAHHAHHAA!!! :hilarious: (Not to worry, there were at least 3 slices left on the pizza pan, so hubs still had enough slices.) Meanwhile, Jack inhaled his absconded slice once he escaped from hubs! :D
I love sneaky doggies. I would be laughing my head off! My little mutts could get by with anything. I couldn't punish when they gave me so much joy!

Lately my colds have been hanging on with coughs and I end up losing my voice. It's strange how as I age the symptoms of my cold and what hangs on has changed.
I'm sorry, as it doesn't get any better with age. My DD had an immune problem. Probably got it from me. She got shots for a low immune system. Those weren't available back in the day. I know I was sick a lot as a kid.

Jack Frost: the only Rankin-Bass blunder. I can even take the one with the blind kid and the nuns.

Polar Express: One of the worst things of any genre I ever forced myself to finish watching.

The rest I adore!
I didn't see any of those. I do like many Rankin Bass movies, like Rudolph and the one with the heat miser and snow miser. The name doesn't come to memory. As a kid I looked forward to those every year.
