Good morning. We all survived the holiday crazy and are now back on schedule. My house is almost back in order and I got to sleep in:joyfull: I couldn't believe the calm while out shopping yesterday, the only crowded store was Joann's and even when it's packed it's not full of crazies. Wegman's and Sam's were almost empty and so was Shoprite.:joyfull: Even the hardware(yes @MinnieM123 I went to the small local one) was quite orderly. Now I need to figure out what movie(s) to pop in while getting some me things done:joyfull:

Just sent our houseguest on his way back to Atlanta. Resisting the urge to clean everything, going to try to rest a bit before starting work.

Trying to figure out to whom to give his "dump cake" he made for Thanksgiving – do you guys know what this is? Very unfortunate name. But Brian is diabetic and I don't eat much sugar, so it has to go LOL.

I miss Shop Rite! – although I do love Publix.

I suspect a lot of the stores were less crowded because you're going to see record numbers of sales online, especially since so many stores started their black Friday sales well in advance online.

I guess I had better look out for tanker trucks, I dare not tell you what my numbers are:hilarious:
Let's readdress this when you reach my age. I suspect that by then my numbers will consist of all zero's. :hungover::jawdrop:
Bus? Tanker truck? Really, what you two need to watch out for are the falling asteroids!!

When we're in Florida it's Publix and Whole Food for most of our shopping needs but we like Shop Rite and Wegman's better. BTW my dh loves the cheese department at our Wegman's his diet not so much. As for the crowds it seems Thanksgiving is the new Friday(don't get me started on that) Friday and yesterday we hit the stores starting around 6am, being a morning person has it's advantages:joyfull:

I agree, I'm not into many new Character's I like the old cartoons, and Disney from the early years. Today, not so much. Even my DD who has been into Disney, is getting frustrated with the new Disney. She thinks the cabana's are a crazy move. Along with so many moves to make ton's of money. She will be out, when we are. It's so sad all around.

It's funny because it seems like Princess and Pixar characterd are more popular than Disney's older characters (I think Disney needs to make a Mickey movie)

My thoughts exactly! I have a friend here who never wanted to be a mom. She's gotten a LOT of pressure from people, especially from her church because "Go forth and multiply". One of our mutual acquaintances asked me once why this friend doesn't have kids. I said she doesn't want kids. She says "I thought she was Christian!" And that was the HIGH point of the conversation. I figure that it's hard enough to be a parent when you really WANT to be one...same with marriage! If it's not something you really really want, don't do it! I get that a lot being a stay at home mom, too. (I do have a part time job, but it's not what I'd considered a career) "Why don't you go to work? Women fought really hard for you to have the right to have a job and you're going to waste it by staying home?" And my thought is that no, they didn't fight for me to have the right to have a job...they fought for me to have the CHOICE to get a job. And I would rather stay home with my kids. If you choose to go have a career, go for it! I think that's great. But if you choose not to, I think that's great, too. Life is too short to be forced into choosing something that will have lifelong consequences, just because it's what someone ELSE wants.
Yikes!!! unbelievable!.. I actually hate people who shove their positions and opinions and shield themselves by using words like "you're not "christian" or "you're going to hell" because you dont accept THEIR opinions. :banghead:

According to the Infectious Disease medical chief at our hospital, hand washing is the best defense against germs. However, you can still get sick from some other illnesses, if the germs are airborne.
Agree! Still, its unbelievable how many people DO NOT WASH HANDS.
It was funny going to a cruise and a lot of people with tons of money see the disinfectant machines as foreign and alien devices..

You'd laugh if you saw how quickly I change direction if someone starts to sneeze or cough. About Face! I change tables or places in line. I am a germaphobic.

Nothing grosses me out more than people who blow their nose at a table in a home or In a restaurant. Then they pass bowls or pickup salt shakers etc. so disgusting. Plus the sound when you are eating is stomach turning
